It was a little later the same day and Maya just got out the shower and got dressed.
She usually doesn't do anything fancy but today she decided on dressing up a bit.
She also washed her hair so she blow dried it and wax busy straightening it when Riley came in her room.

"This is exhausting," Riley said.

She threw her towel on the floor and jumped on her bed.
Of course she did see Maya was busy with a straightening iron.

"Doing a bit of effort I see."
"Riley stop. It's not your decision who I decide to be or what I decide on to do with me and Josh. It will get around and we will be just fine. Either ways."
"Okay. Think I need to get ready as well."

After both the girls got ready for the night it was quite late.
Around eight or so and Maya had felt like playing with soem chords.

"You, you.
The better half of me, me."

"What you doing?" Josh asked.
"Playing around," Maya said.
"Well why don't you stop playing around and actually sing? You have a amazing voice," Josh said.
"Okay. What about a duet then?"
"I'm in. Hey guys. Looks like you're gonna have a little New Years concert," Josh said.
"Shoot then. Let's hear what you've got," Riley said.

"Hey, I was doing just fine before I met you
I drink too much and that's an issue but I'm okay
Hey, you tell your friends it was nice to meet them
But I hope I never see them again
I know it breaks your heart
Moved to the city in a broke down car
And four years, no calls
Now you're looking pretty in a hotel bar
And I can't stop
No, I can't stop
So baby pull me closer in the backseat of your Rover
That I know you can't afford
Bite that tattoo on your shoulder
Pull the sheets right off the corner
Of the mattress that you stole
From your roommate back in Boulder
We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
You look as good as the day I met you
I forget just why I left you, I was insane
Stay and play that Blink-182 song
That we beat to death in Tucson, okay
I know it breaks your heart
Moved to the city in a broke down car
And four years, no call
Now I'm looking pretty in a hotel bar
And I can't stop
No, I can't stop
So baby pull me closer in the backseat of your Rover
That I know you can't afford
Bite that tattoo on your shoulder
Pull the sheets right off the corner
Of the mattress that you stole
From your roommate back in Boulder
We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
So baby pull me closer in the backseat of your Rover
That I know you can't afford
Bite that tattoo on your shoulder
Pull the sheets right off the corner
Of the mattress that you stole
From your roommate back in Boulder
We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older (we ain't ever getting older)
We ain't ever getting older (we ain't ever getting older)
We ain't ever getting older (we ain't ever getting older)
We ain't ever getting older
We ain't ever getting older
No we ain't ever getting older."
