Summer get away

Part 29: last day/leaving

I woke up to the sun beaming through my window. I checked my phone and saw that it was 9am. My flight home was at 8pm. I realized I had less then 12 hours to spend with my friends. I hopped out of bed and put this outfit on :

I got breakfast and texted the groupchat.

Everyone- hey what's up?
Y- it's my last day do y'all wanna hangout somewhere?

D- we could go to the city

Y- ok so who's riding with who? (Hannah and Payton are driving)
Ja- I'll ride with y/n

Ca- I'll ride with Payton
A- I'll ride with Payton
Ch- I'll ride with Payton
I- I'll ride with y/n
Y- ok so isy, Dylan and Jackson with me and Hannah
P- and cash, chase, and Adriana with me
Everyone- yep
Y- ok so let's all meet in the city in 30?
Everyone- yea

I walked to Hannah's room. "Heyyyyyy, can I use the personal Uber for one more day" i said. "Fine" Hannah said with a laugh. "Ok so can you drive me, Dylan, Jackson, and isy to the city?" I asked. "Yes sure let's go" Hannah said. We both got into the car and picked up Jackson, Dylan, and isy. We made it to the city and Hannah dropped us off at a little arcade place. "I'll pick you up at 6, text me if you need anything" Hannah said before she drove off. We walked inside and saw everyone else. We played a couple of games and had a lot of fun. I had gotten a dog stuffed animal from the prize area. Everyone got some kind of prize but Jackson gave me his prize. "Aww you don't have to give me this" I said. "Yes I do, so you can remember me when you leave" Jackson said. I smiled and gave him a hug. We decided to walk around the city for a little and find a place to eat. We found a little restaurant and we decided to eat there. When we walked in we saw Erica and her buddies. I saw Jackson's hands turn to fists. "We can't let them bother us" I whispered to Jackson. He still hand his fists clenched causing his knuckles to turn white. I helped calm him down as we sat down at a table. Everyone was uncomfortable seeing Erica and her friends after what happened. "Do y'all want to go to another place?" I asked. Everyone nodded yes. We got up and was about to leave when we heard her voice. "Leaving so soon?" Erica said. "Yea now f**k off." I said super pissed off. That seemed to shut her up because we didn't hear her response. We left that restaurant and ended up going to a pizza place. At the pizza place I took a selfie with everyone and made it my Lockscreen. "I'm gonna miss you guys" I said with a sad look on my face. "Group huggg" Payton said. We group hugged and then Dylan said, "No being sad yet because the day isn't done." I smiled and said "ok." We finished our pizza and went back out into the city. We went to the mall and walked around. We bought some things but nothing really important. We found a roller skating rink and decided to skate a little. It was a lot of fun because we didn't know how to skate. We all kept falling and we were all laughing and having a great time. Then I checked my phone it was already 5:40. "Guys it's 5:40 hannah gonna pick me up in 20 minutes, let's head back to the arcade." Everyone nodded and we made our way out of the skating rink. We walked back to the arcade and wait for Hannah. She pulled up a few minutes later. "Let's all meet at my house" I said. We got into Hannah's car and the others got into Payton's. We started the drive back to my house when Jackson said, "uhh can we stop at my house real fast?" "Uhh sure" I said. Hannah stopped at Jackson's house. "Y'all stay here but y/n come with me." Jackson said. "Uh ok" I said as he grabbed my hand. He brought me to his room opened his closet and said "choose any hoodie you want." I smiled and grabbed this hoodie:

I put it on and we walked out of his house. We got back into the car and isy, Hannah and Dylan all said. "Awwww." I smiled and we left. We got to my house and Payton and the others were already there. "Come to my room" I said to everyone. They all came to my room. I grabbed Jackson's hand and brought him to my cabinet. "Choose one" I said as I pointed to my scrunchies. He grabbed this one:

He smiled and hugged me. We all sat in my room for a little. We spent an hour talking but it honestly was the best time spent with the group. My mom came into the room and said "we are leaving in 10." The smile on my face disappeared. I felt my eyes water. I tried to hold it back but a tear fell down my cheek. Then another one and another. Everyone came over to me and comforted me. I was gonna miss them. "Group hug" I said with a sniffle. We had a nice group hug. I gave everyone an individual hug. I said goodbye to everyone and the last goodbye was the hardest. I had to say goodbye to Jackson. He helped me get my luggage to the car. I saw his eyes start to water. "Mom can Jackson come to the airport with us?" I asked. "If he can get a ride back" my mom said. "Payton, can you drive me and Jackson to the airport?" I asked. "Of course" He said. "Can I come to?" Dylan asked. "Yes" I said. Isy, Chase, Cash and Adriana left. Me, Dylan, and Jackson all got into Payton's car. I laid my head on Jackson shoulder and he grabbed my hand. The whole ride there we were cuddled up to each other. We made it to the airport and I knew this was the hardest part of the whole trip. We all got out of the car, I saw my parents pull up. I gave Payton a huge hug. "Thank you for being my best friend" I whispered into his ear. He smiled. Next was Dylan. I could see him starting to cry. "No Dylan don't cry it'll be ok" I said holding back my tears. I gave him a hug and he said "I'm gonna miss you." I smiled and said "I'm gonna miss you more." I let a tear roll down my cheek. Now the hardest part. I walked over to Jackson. " I don't wanna go but I have to" I said with a tear rolling down my cheek. "Hey we are gonna make this work" he said with a smile. I saw a few tears escape his eyes. I gave him the biggest hug ever. My legs wrapped around his torso. "I love you" I whispered into his ear. "I love you too" he whispered into my ear. He put me down and we had one last kiss. I meet up with my parents. We walked into the airport I turned around and saw the boys. I waved goodbye and they all waved back. We wait for the plane. Once I finally got on to the plane, I checked my phone and saw that I had a a message from Jackson . It said "I miss you but know that I'll always be there for you" i smiled and put my phone away. I took a breathe and got ready to fly back home.
