24. I really can't take my eyes off you

The girls reached the place

Though it was a winter day Jasmine was wearing a black dress with tights.

Ariel was wearing her typical jeans and brown jacket

"So it's here" Said Ariel

There were 2 huge buildings: one is the Conservatory (greenhouse) and the other one is where the project is going to be.

"What's wrong Jasmine, are you ok?" Said, Ariel.

"Yeah I'm ok it's just so huge and there are a lot of.... people," Said Jasmine and laughed nervously while wiping sweat from her forehead

"It's ok" Ariel smiled. "He's as you can see, a very known person"

"Oh yeah, I can totally see it. I thought it's just a school thing"

"It's ok, I'm here with you"

"Thank you" Said, Jasmine

"No problem girl, now come on we're gonna be late"

Both girls entered a huge hall where chairs are arranged in around 20 lines and in the front, you can see the huge stage. Brochures were divided everywhere. She saw his name and face everywhere she goes

"Wow" Said Ariel with a grin

"What?" Said, Jasmine

"Nothing, let's sit here"

"Noo, I want to sit in the front"

"Are you serious?"

"Ariel please, we won't see anything from this far"

"Ugh ok ok"

Ariel sat in the 6.th line.

"Is it ok here for you now??"

"Excuse me, miss. You can't sit here" Said an old man who's serving here

"Why not?" Said Ariel.

"This middle part is for the millers, I'm sorry"

Ariel opened her mouth to speak but Jasmine spoke first

"Actually we're from Mr Manson's class and we're so upset now we can't find a good place to sit"

The old man's eyes went wide open

"Oh forgive me, young ladies. I didn't know you were from Mr Manson's biology course. Please, have a seat there... in the very front"

Ariel's face was saying it all, the 'please kill me' face.

She only came for Jasmine, she doesn't want to meet him.

On the other hand Jasmine was so happy

"Thank you very much, come Ariel"

"She took Ariel's hand and ran to the first line and sat nearly in the middle

"So, what do you think, we got the best place"

"Uh yeah...I want to kill myself now"

"What?"

"Nothing, Jasmine. I just need some... air"

Ariel stood up

Wait! You can't go now. The project is about to start"

"....Ok"

In 5 min was the place very crowded and suddenly the lights went off and only one was on. the spotlight

Applause came from the audience, Ariel found herself also clapping. She saw how Jasmine's eyes were shining.

Ariel looked to the stage again and saw Cillian. smiling and waving. And for seconds their eyes met and it's like neither of them can take the gaze off.
