I was snapped out of my thoughts by the contact of our lips colliding.
I broke away first, to catch my breath. I wasn't expecting this, I saw the disappointment in his face,
"Natsu... I-" I began, not knowing how to respond.
"Lucy," Natsu said at last,
"I love you. I knew it as soon as I lated my eyes on you, not even when I found you again a few months ago; but when I first saw you in high-school. I remember it, it was year seven and we were just starting it, I walked in scared, I knew no one, I had transferred from somewhere no one I knew had enrolled there. I looked around the class, you stood out. You were the only one to stand out. You looked at me and then smiled, I turned bright red, I smiled back but turned away, I couldn't face you, you were too beautiful, too smart, too perfect. It took me two whole years before I got the courage to talk to you. Two. Whole. Years. It didn't matter we were in the same class, it didn't matter how kind, how caring, you were- are, I couldn't do it. I was so proud of myself when I finally swallowed my doubts and said hi to you. Your bright smile and shining eyes might not of caught the attention of everyone, but that's a good thing because it caught mine. You have no idea how jealous I was when you started talking to Sting. You have no idea how upset I was when you disappeared from my life. From all of our lives." he started to tear up,
"I love you, Luce, nothing and no one can change that. You are my everything, I'm not me without you. I'm not expecting you to say if back, or even feel the same way. I'm only asking for one thing: that you won't leave me again."
It was only until Natsu wiped his thumb across my cheek that I realised I was crying, "I'm so sorry Natsu,"
He looked at me, like a puppy who had just pissed all over the carpet.
"I'm so sorry I left you!" I sobbed, flinging myself onto him, he toughened up at first, not expecting my embrace, then he relaxed, hugging me and digging his face in my hair.
