you're a jigsaw puzzle.
you're made of bits and pieces
of thoughts and memories and habits
that slot together seamlessly.
pieces that are dark,
pieces that are heavy,
pieces that hurt
are all pieces of you nonetheless.
the edges of you don't seem to exist.
you intertwine with those who surround you.
and yes, you may have parts in common
while clusters of puzzle pieces
that connect you to them and them to you
but also steal a bit of your individuality.
it's alright.
maybe there's no puzzle piece that belongs solely to you
but it's the giant boiling gumbo pot
of thoughts and memories and habits
that make you you.
and whether you like it or not,
we can't escape each other.
all of our pieces slot together
seamlessly.
