The blonde boy pushed her away and she only felt her own body against the ground. A strong pain went to her wrist. She did not have time to sit up as she saw the boy move toward her, looking at her with a murderous look. A door of an abandoned Peugeot opened in that moment.

"You will regret it!" He said, raising his hand.

" If you touch her, I kill you." said a totally calm voice.

The young man's hand stopped in the air as he looked with great fear at the voice carrier. A voice that sounded familiar to the girl, and a lot more considering that she had only heard it once. A name invaded her mind, as twilight invaded the darkness.

David.

"I'm sorry ... I did not mean to hurt her"murmured scared the young blonde, who had now stepped back and looked terrified at the boy with gray eyes and brown hair.

Veronica stared at him. How could he be so imposing and enigmatic at the same time? David approached the other boy and knocked him to the ground with a punch. He was violent, maybe too much to please the sweet girl on the floor looking at him in rapt attention. Yes, he was violent, but there was something in him that there was not in any other young man. Something so inexorable and fresh that captivated the sweet girl.

"Then we'll settle accounts, you and I." There was a threatening nuance in David's voice that made the other young man want to die in that moment.

For Veronica, time had stopped again. Everything happened as if it were a movie in slow motion. She was still on the ground, so she just leaned back, protecting herself when David came up to her, making her shiver while she let out a scream drowned out by fear.

A soft laugh followed by a guttural sound made the girl look up again and stop covering herself and protecting herself with her hands.

"It's the second time I hear you give that scared little scream in the short time we know each other. You look like a kitten."

The girl stared at the young man who joked and had held out a hand with thin, strong fingers. He had spoken with such confidence and arrogance that the girl did not know whether to take his hand or not.

"Come on, I would not hurt you," he said, guessing her thoughts.

Veronica took a deep breath and touched her fingers, feeling a kind of electricity make her skin prickle at his touch. It burned. Something inside her burned when she came into contact with the young man. Despite that, she looked back at the boys who beat Rubén.

"Make them stop please"she whispered with a voice so sweet that softened the young man.

David stared at her as he helped her up. He felt her soft skin and wondered for a moment how it would be to touch the delicate body of the young woman. From head to toe. David smiled confidently as he lifted his chin. If he proposed it, he would find it out soon. He always got everything he wanted. However, there was something else that caught his attention even more. He looked up and down at the girl who was trembling with fear. Something had totally captured his attention. Her voice. Yes, her voice had made him relax to a point where he had not been in a long time.

"Speak again"he asked.

She looked at him from a head and a half lower than him, taking it as a threat. Despite that, she did not care. They were hitting Ruben and she was standing and doing nothing. She could not stand it.

"Tell them to stop please."

Sweetness. The way the girl spoke, and the purity in her eyes, moved him. Yes. It moved something in David's inside. It was a combination he had never seen before in anyone. Sweet voice, but brave sight.

"What I get in return?"

She lost her blue gaze on his, letting herself be invaded by the darkness and the brightness of a storm. That eternal storm that lived in those gray eyes. The burning sensation had stopped when he withdrew his hand after helping her to stand up, but now that he was looking her in the eye, she felt like she was walking on a fire floor. Her whole body was burning. Trying to put her feet in reality, she filled her lungs with air, breathing hard.

"They're going to kill him!" the girl almost shouted when she heard a shout from Rubén. "Please!" she begged.

"What do you give me in return?" he repeated, totally relaxed and ungainly for a moment. He did not care at all about that boy they were beating up. He did not care about anything except knowing that he had that girl in front of him, as pure as any he had ever seen, and best of all, he knew he had her in the palm of his hand, like to all the others. He licked his lips slowly and noticed how she shuddered as she watched his meaty mouth.

Veronica looked at him fearfully, and the boy liked that indecision in her face. He had always liked to be respected, and she seemed to do it. Actually it seemed much more than that. It looked like a porcelain doll that was still in its original package too scared to make itself known to the world.

"What do you want in return?" she asked nervously and worried about her friend, looking behind him and trying to get away from the spell that the young man exercised on her.

Damn attraction.

"Kiss Me." He said.
