 I was given a day. A day.

Tomorrow, Harper would call the board for the ethics hearing and they would slay my name there. Her eyes told me everything. Tomorrow, I shouldn't be expecting anything or support from my side. It would be just me and then the board there, no one else.

I would say some words, give accordance of my case and then will leave the decision to them.

Irrespective of that, due to Harper's warning, I was running back home, at this early hour. My shift was about to begin in an hour and I had no time to reach the house in time. Sometimes I really wished Mia would make some Stark suits for me like she always dreamt of.

Anyways, as I dashed round the corners, people shot me glances, perhaps wondering what the deranged doctor today's quest was. Technically, what was actually? Harper told me that they would be leaving for my house, the question was, who were they?

By the time I reached near the apartment, I was tired and my battery was moving dangerously close to shut down mode. I heard the laughter of Jackie, Sienna and Elijah as they met me halfway, just a kilometer from the apartment.

Jackie caught my running form, "What the hell?"

"Sienna, we need to go back...come on!" I shouted. Without waiting for her reply, I ran, pumping my legs faster and faster. The problem was, sometimes, my mind during the situation when I was extremely tired ran more percentile than in real. Stopping near the stairs of the building, I realized I should first whiff the police about it. And I ordered Sienna to do so.

Now, if those people carried Uzi or SPAS or perhaps even glock, I was surely out of the clock.

It didn't took much time but.

By the second I opened the apartment door, the sight in front was like a blowshock. Though Harper's earlier revelation had minimized it a bit, the scene just complemented it as parading wave of an equation.

The whole house was ransacked. Everything lied littered, lights were broken, the cushions were torn off from the couches and the kitchen had seen so much better days. My room, well let's just say my room wasn't even looking like mine. My bed was turned down, my mini-fridge opened and the contents inside rolling on the floor.

My room door was barged in and the lock was on the floor. The windows were open and curtains were tailed down. They hadn't even left my bathroom.

My toiletries were fallen on the floor, and one of the shampoos-that glitter shampoo of all the lords was splashed around.

Papers were spread around as if a mini tornado had wrecked havoc inside. My clothes were on the floor, the wardrobe door broken opened and that was all it took for me to sink down to the floor and I lost myself on the verge of tears as the sirens of the approaching police but now useless force blared.

The police took our complaint and told us to wait as they processed.

Since nothing valuable was stolen, they probed it as a minor bulgar offense.

Alas, they were didn't know that the stolen stuff was actually really priceless. Sienna apologized countless times because in her room, I had kept the drive and documents. The ones were brought from R&D.

They were the only things which were missing from the house.

Jackie and Elijah were furious and scrubbed the hell out of the police officers as their rooms were also searched. But only me and Sienna understood the damage which was done. I had no concrete proof now, nothing to expose them Panacea.
