Ashton - Seeing Pictures of Him With Another Girl at a Club

The pictures were everywhere, spreading like fire through almost every social media platform accompanied by captions and titles that were loud and alarming, punctuated with exclamation marks and question marks that screamed in your head.

They were all silly tabloids with titles like '5 Seconds of Summer Finding Love in the Club??' that out of control fans shared with crazed captions like 'OMG i bet they totally got some ;)’

You put yourself above all of that, though - you knew the boys were hard at work on tour and a few nights to relax and unwind every now and then was more than deserved for how much they did. 

Besides, you knew that your boyfriend Ashton wouldn’t do anything too stupid. Sure, he was a little childish and wild from time to time, but the assurances that he sends you through photos and messages and the fuzzy I love yous that he tells you with every Skype call is enough consolation for you.

Besides, how can you not believe that smile of his that radiates sunshine when he tells you how much he loves you and misses you?

That all changes when you phone buzzes, signalling a new message from your best friend. You read it over quickly, your heart starting to beat faster out of anxiety when you see the quick message.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I couldn’t just let this slip by you..

When the pages finishes loading, your heart skips a beat - but not the usual way it does when you see a new picture of Ashton.

Because it was a picture of him - dim and slightly blurry, but definitely him; tattered shirts and messy hair and bandana and all - standing with another girl.

It didn’t bother you that he was with a girl - after all, most of their fanbase was made up of girls your age, and you personally found it sweet how Ashton loved them all so much, smiling for every video and event and constant updates of sweet pictures of him and fans. He always made sure that you were his girl - a fan still, but clearly something more. Something special to him.

But in the pictures you saw before you; that clearly didn’t seem like the case. 

He was leaning down, looking at the girl - you couldn’t see her face, but from the back, you could already tell she was probably gorgeous. Long legs, perfect hair, fit body; a bombshell. 

It wasn’t even that the girl in the picture was clearly a model waiting to be discovered - you were used to Ashton being with pretty girls, and he’d always convince you that you were the prettiest - it was the way Ashton was leaning down to her in the photograph, one hand casually resting on the wall and the other with a drink in his hand.

It was how he was looking at her. Even in the blurry picture you could see that he was looking at her the same way he’d look at you when the two of you were alone, his hazel eyes burning into yours, a soft smirk on his lips. It was a look that you claimed as yours; a look that only you should see in dark closets and hidden corners, in spaces where it was just you and him and no one else in the world.

But here it was, photographed and displayed for the world to see - and worst of all, for a girl that wasn’t you.

Your heart plummeted, a sick feeling in your stomach as you continued to scroll through the pictures, making you feel worse.

Pictures of him with the girl, leaning close enough so that their noses nearly grazed, his lips curved up and fingers trailing up her arm.

It was more than enough for you.
