"I also purchased you this, as I think it might help."

Doctor Moore handed him a book.

"Trauma and the baby blues?"

"Yes. I really feel like this will be an insight into what's to come. It's been a tough couple of weeks but it's getting better. I just know that with the right support, you and your family will  recover from this. I've seen a lot of positive improvement.

Julius nodded, encouraged but not entirely convinced by the doctor's words.

After walking the physician out, Julius returned to his bedroom, eager to hold his little boy.

Just as he entered, the nurse who had previously been holding the baby, nodded before leaving the room.

The water had stopped and the entire room was silent.

Julius walked over to the crib, picking up the tiny infant and rocking him slowly.

"How was it?"

He turned slightly so that he had a clear view of the entrance to his en suite. Surprised was an understatement. She had not said a word since she left the hospital.

"Estrella..,." He trailed off. He was unsure of whether to tell her about the funeral.

"How was it Julius?  I know they buried my baby today and I want to know how it went."

Hey voice was but a whisper.

"It was fine. Lots of people from all over turned up to pay their respects. A beautiful service and lots of pink flowers.

"Okay." She replied blankly, getting into bed and laying down.

". Our families are coming over tonight."

She shot up from her laying position immediately, facing him.

"Why? Why are they coming here?"

"To see us."

"That's fine. I will be in the west wing anyway."

"Estrella.."

"No Julius. I'm not in the mood to see anyone. I just lost my daughter and it's all my fault. I can't face them, I can't.."

Julius kissed his son before placing him back in his crib.

"Mi amor. Do you realise that that is the most you've said to me in 3 weeks?"

Estrella opened her mouth to say something but snapped it shut seconds later.

"You will overcome this. I know you. You're already making progress. When you were in hospital I was too scared to even touch you. You were so distraught and out of it, sudden movements would send you into some sort of blackout. But now look at you. We are having a normal conversation. You need to get better. Not just for yourself, but for our family, for Adonis."

She shifted so that she was staring into the crib where Adonis slept peacefully.

"What if I can't? I don't know how to be who I used to be. The old Estrella hadn't had to bury her own child. Nor was she a mother."
