The Doctor teleported back onto the Tardis, not looking very happy.

"Every ship I go on, they just shoot at me. Handles, I said put me on a ship," the Doctor rambled, tossing off the cloak he was wearing.

"Technically, he did," I tell him.

"I didn't say put me on a Dalek ship," he continued. "Don't put me on a Dalek ship when I'm holding a broken bit of Dalek!" He said, holding the Dalek's eye in front of him. He hit the head with it. "Ow!"

"You did not indicate a preference," the Cyberman head told him as he picked it up.

"Use your head, it's not like you've got a lot of alternatives. They're all here. Daleks, Sontarans, Terileptils, Slitheen, and they're not even fighting. They're just parked. Why?"

"The message was received throughout the universe"

"Yes, Yes, the message, the message. Even I can't translate it," he pushed a button and the message started playing, a weird tolling sound, almost like a Tardis. "I mean, why is everyone here if they don't understand it?"

"You're here"

"Exactly," I agree with the robot.

"Well, I'm OCD. What's their excuse? What does this message mean?"

"That's why they're here. They want to know what it is. Maybe they're scared of it and want to exterminate whatever is making it"

The phone started ringing and the Doctor put the Cyberman man head, which he had named Handles, back on its little stand.

"Oh, no, and remind me, I've got to patch the telephone back through the console unit," he said, going to the door. "This is getting ridiculous"

"Attention. Information available," Handles said, stopping the Doctor from getting the phone.

"Okay," he waited, listening carefully.

"You must patch the telephone device back through the console unit"

"No, no, no, no, no, no, not now, remind me later," he started for the door again but stopped when Handles asked when. "I don't know. Just later. Just pick a time"

"When?"

"I don't know. Just any old time. When you think I've forgotten"

"When?"

"Just pick a random number, express that number as a quantity of minutes, and when that time has elapsed, remind me to patch the telephone back through the console unit"

"Affirmative"

He finally answered the phone, popping back in as quick as he could. He spoke with Clara for a bit, until a new ship appeared. He dropped the phone, stepped out with Handles in his hand, but hurried back as quick as possible.

"Cyberman ship?" I ask.

"Yeah," he says, catching his breath.

The phone rang again and I popped my head out, nearly getting shot by Cybermen, to quickly grab the phone. I gave it to the Doctor and when he finished speaking he just dropped the phone again.

"I'm Clara's imaginary boyfriend," he told me.

"What?"

"She made up an imaginary boyfriend for her parents and needs me to go to her Christmas dinner"

"Ah, have fun with that. I'll go get Clara while you get ready"

I left the Tardis when it landed, going towards Clara's apartment, but she met me at the bottom of the stairs, smiling.
