S: What's happening Serah? Se: Shriyu! I have a news for you. Aadhik proposed me for marriage.
She showed her sapphire engagement ring. Shriya had her eyes filled with tears and hugged her best friend.
S: So Serah Winget will now walk down the aisle to embrace the love of her life. I am really happy for you Serah.
Sh: Four hours ago he took me near Thames and proposed me with this lovely ring during sunset. He is perfect Shriyu. I feel very blessed. I can't stop imagining our life together. Their family accepted my Indo-British origin. They know my dad is a British and respected my wish to be wedded in the Christian tradition.
S: When perfect things happen everything fall in place Serah.
Sh: My parents are gone Shriyu! They will never get to witness my big day.
A tear drop fell from Serah's eye. Shriya held her hand and took her towards the window and asked her to look at the night sky.

S: Look at that bright star Serah! That's your parents. They are not two individuals. They are one and you are a live example of them being one soul. So that star is both your parents.
Serah hugged Shriya and smiled.
Shriya continued gazing at the night sky as Serah left. She found a bright tiny star and said " Hi! Duggu. I hope you are having a lot of ice-creams there. Duggu you know what your mom has decided today that I will live every moment for the night. Every night I will see my Duggu and tell him a story. Just the way I used to say when you were in my womb. You miss my stories right! Mummy is very sorry. Now you must be 5 years old. You are a big boy now. Don't worry I want bore you with those mindless tales. Even mummy has grown up".
She smiled between her tears and said " Mummy might die but Duggu can never die. My rockstar! My sun! My moon! My star! My son is eternal. He will live till the sky lives". She remembers his little eyes when they looked at her for the first time and he smiled opening his mouth.

She sings a lullaby for the star and then walks back to the kitchen.
In the dining hall Serah is playing with the noodles lost in deep thoughts.
S: What's wrong Serah? You have started dieting already?
Sh: Shriyu! You know I always wanted a family. Aadhik's family is broken. They won't come to the wedding. Aadhik's mom and dad are divorced. So are his father's sister and uncle. None of them might attend our wedding. Only his sister Avni and her boyfriend attending. I want all of them to attend Shriyu. Anyway from my side it's only you. Atleast I want few elders Shriyu.
Shriya understood her concern and called Aadhik's aunt. The lady on the other end started speaking.

S: Hello ma'am! This is Shriya. I am Serah's friend and wanted to speak about Serah and Aadhik's wedding.
N: Aadhik is getting married? Why did you break this news to me. He might have wanted to do it in a special way. I wonder why people don't have manners to spoil things for others.
She cut the call saying so.

N: Do you know that your son is getting married?
D: Yes ofcourse! He said he will introduce the girl this weekend after the proposal.
N: Some mud head girl has spoilt it for me Anna. I would be surprised and excited on the day. Look how your daughter Avni and my son Raghav have perfectly announced their engagement in a cruise party. Aadhik would be so disappointed that he is not the first one to break the news to me.
D: Chill out my little sister. It's fine. The best part is both my children are getting married. And the bigger news is my Avni baby made the most impossible thing possible in this world that is getting Raghav's accept to get married. Are you not happy?
N: Ofcourse! I can't express how happy I am. I hope all the kids are happy unlike both of us whose spouses left in early days of marriage.
" I wonder how people can think that they can speak rudely with others. Is that manners?" Shriya spoke to herself.
She went to Serah and said " I promise you that Aadhik's whole family will attend your wedding. Even if they are divorced or haven't seen each other for ages. I won't let you compromise on your big day".
Serah felt lucky for having such a lovely best friend and hugged her.
