Thirty minutes later they arrived in the south side of Chicago, Miya looked out the window. She seen homeless people on the street, dealers, kids taking a bat busting up an old car. "Have you lived here your whole life?" Miya asked.

"Yeah, I was born to a drug using mother and I never knew my father" Nik looked over at her then back at the road. "I was in foster care my whole life, until I was eighteen. I had to leave and make a life of my own. No one else was going to take care of me" Nik said.

Miya felt bad for him, she had a good life with loving parents. "I'm sorry" Miya said as she reached over placing a hand on his leg.

Nik looked down at her hand, then back at the road. "It's fine, I'm a big boy" Nik said with a chuckle. He finally pulled up to the apartments, they looked run down. Some parts of the building was falling off, it looked like it should be condemned. There were people outside listening to music, playing tag and talking.

Once Nik parked the car, he looked over at Miya who was still looking out the window. "There's nothing to be afraid of" he said.

"I'm not scared" Miya turned to him with a smile on her face.

Nik nodded then shut his car off, took out the keys then got out the car. He went to Miya's side, helping her out the car. "Take your time" Nik said holding onto her hand.

"Okay" Miya said she was in so much pain, it felt like her insides were shutting down.

Couple people were looking at them, one person actually walked over. It was a girl "hey Nik" the girl smiled.

Miya gave the girl a death glare, she didn't like the fact she was flirting with Nik in front of her. Even though Nik wasn't hers, she still didn't like it. "Nik, I'm not feeling so well" Miya said before he could actually speak to this hoochie.

"Not now Amber, I need to take Miya upstairs" Nik said. "Maybe we can talk later, if I have the time" he added before walking away with Miya.

The girl was pissed, she stormed off but Miya didn't care.

They were finally inside the apartment building, they walked up some stairs. There were people literally everywhere, there was even a couple standing out side their door fighting. Nik soon was in front of his door, he unlocked it and walked inside. It was smaller than Miya's town home. A girl sat there watching television while eating cereal, she didn't look at us. Her hair was blonde, it came to her shoulders and she was fairly young, probably about sixteen.

Miya looked around the place, it was cute. There was small sofa, flat screen television, recliner and a coffee table. "Come on Miya, I'll take you to my room" Nik said. "And Mykie when I come back you better be in the kitchen eating that" he added.

Miya nodded her head, she held onto his arm as they walked into his bedroom. It was normal size, they bed was messy and the only other thing he hand in there was TV that was on top of a dresser. "Lie down for a bit" Nik said as he helped her into the bed. "Are you hungry or thirsty?" he asked.

"No, I just want to sleep" Miya said. "Thank you for everything" she added.

Nik leaned down and kissed Miya's head, he smiled a little. "It's no problem, just call me if you need anything" he said before walking out the bedroom.

As Miya was sleeping, Nik needed to  run a few errands."Mykie, if she wakes up you call me" Nik said. But Mykie didn't say anything, she was still eating and watching TV.

Nik stepped in front of the TV, he crossed his arms. "Do you hear me Mykie?" he asked frowning at her.

"Yes Nik, I don't understand why I have to babysit your girlfriend" Mykie complained.

"Shut up Mykie" Nik said as she went over grabbing his leather jacket. "I have to meet Phoenix, then take care of some errands" he sighed. "Just make sure you're outside to get Ellie when she's off the bus" Nik added.

Mykie was Nik's foster sister, he took her with him when he left that shitty house. The parents use to abuse them, mainly Mykie if she didn't listen. As for Ellie, he found her all alone in the street. She was a baby wrapped in a blanket, ever since that day he's been taking care of her.

Once Nik was outside the same girl came over to him, he groaned rolling his eyes. "I'm really not in the mood right now" he said.

"I just wanted to know if you'll come over later" Amber said.

"I'm sorry Amber but what happened between us, it will never happen again" Nik said. He tired walking past her but she wouldn't allow it. "Amber stop, I'm serious" he added.

"It's because of that girl you have in your house, isn't it?" Amber asked.

"That's none of your business, what I do in my own home is what I do" Nik said. "No please, I have things to take care of" he walked by her. Nik went to get on his motorcycle, he placed his helmet on then started it up taking off.

Couple of hours passed by and Nik wasn't home yet, he was still dealing with the Germans. They had tried to get over on him and he wasn't having it. So he had called Phoenix to bring the guy in, when they did he tied him up and started to beat the life out of him.

As Nik was handling business elsewhere Miya was waking up, she fluttered her eyes open. "Nik.." she called out but there wasn't a reply. She groaned then turned on her other side, when she did that she came face to face with a small child. "Hello there" Miya smiled at the child.

"Hi, why are you in my brother's bed?" Ellie asked. She climbed up there sitting next to Miya.

"I got hurt very badly as you can tell, he offered to help me" Miya said smiling at her.

"He's sucker for pretty girls" Ellie said. She got under the blanket with Miya. "I'm sorry you got hurt" she looked up at Miya.

"It's okay, I'll be fine thanks to your brother" Miya said. "How about we watch a movie? Cinderella or maybe Princess and the Frog" she added.

"Princess and the Frog" Ellie squealed.

That's when someone came inside the room, it was Mykie. "Ellie, what are you doing?" she asked.

"I'm hanging out with my new friend" Ellie said looking over at Mykie.

"You don't even know her and besides, I'm sure she doesn't want to be bothered with you now leave her alone" Mykie said. "Come out into the living room with me" she added.

Ellie looked up at Miya with a sad look, Miya smiled at her then turned her attention on Mykie. "It's totally fine, we're going to watch Princess and The Frog" she said.

"Good luck with that" Mykie scoffed. "If she annoys you let me know, I'd be happy to drag her out" she said before leaving the room.

Once Mykie left Miya pushed play on the movie, she then grabbed her phone placing an order for pizza. That whole night she spent it with little Elle, while Nik was still doing some business with the German mafia.
