Crazy.
I laughed. I freaking laughed hard. Napahawak ako sa tyan ko sa sinabi niya. Tumigil ako sa kakatawa saglit bago makita lahat ng reaksyon nila, and I laughed again.
"Ang seseryoso niyo." Sabi ko at tumayo. I looked around the place. "Tell me, nasaan ang secret camera."
"There's no camera." Tumingin ako kay Denisse.
"So you forgot to set it up?" I asked. "It's a prank, right?"
Napapikit si Brett habang nakatitig lang sakin si Kayden. Muntikan na akong matapilok sa titig niya.
"It's not a prank or whatever you call it." Sabi ni Denisse. "Aalis na ako, walang kwenta kung hindi maniniwala yung isang to." Biglang tumayo si Kayden at pinigilan siya.
"No. She believes, but she just can't put this in mind." Tumingin silang dalawa sakin.
"Okay fine! Let's say that I believe the three of you. But why? Why are you all doing this? And just how? Like freaking how?" Napasabi ko nalang. I sat on the place I was and looked at them. Tila lumiwanag yung mga mukha nila sa sinabi ko.
In this case, I was feeling cold. Parang binuhusan ako ng malamig na tubig sa mga panahong to. Hindi ko rin alam kung sino o ano yung paniniwalaan ko. May parte sakin na gusto kong maniwala pero at the same time, ayokong magtiwala sa kanila. Maybe this was their way of surprising me.
But everything that I felt? Ever since I had a crush on Kayden? Ever since I liked him? All these things started to feel a little suspicious.
I even thought that I was in a movie no- a story that my life was undergoing a replay. Parang nangyari na ito lahat sakin, and that feeling justifies what they just told me.
"We're from the future. Kayden became a doctor, I became a scientist, while Brett, he's an engineer." Denisse explained.
"We've worked on this almost half of our lives. We were trying to bring you back but plans got fucked up, so we tried to changed it."
"Then... what's the plan B?" I asked. Dito na nagsimulang magpaliwanag si Brett.
"There were some technical difficulties including the portal. Natutulog ka non, you were fifteen at that time. We tried to take you and bring you to our future. The real Brett, Denisse, and Kayden was still there."
"Pinasok niyo bahay ko?" Tanong ko pa. "Nagnakaw kayo?"
Napatawa si Kayden. "No. Ikaw lang yung gusto naming kunin. But things changed. Nakuha ka nga namin, pero ayaw mo magising. You were in a coma for ten years, sinubukan namin, I mean, sinubukan ko na gisingin ka, pero nothing happened."
"Why, can't I remember that?"
Ngumiti siya. "For the second time, the second you, died. So things changed. Kaya ka naming kuhanin pero, in end, it you just can't wake up. Ilang ulit na naming inulit pero no, nothing happened. Maraming beses ka namatay, at maraming beses ka rin naming kinuha. That's why we know, that multiverse exists."
"And this place, is one of it." Dagdav ni Denisse.
"Pinch me." I said.
Lahat sila ay napatawa.

Napalakad ako sa gitna ng dilim. Pagtingin ko sa baba ay nagulat ako. There was nothing. Puro itim lang yung nakikita ko. I tried to run but I just end up in the same darkness, same place.
Napapikit ako at umupo, I suddenly felt myself going upside down. Napamulat ako at naghanap ng mahahawakan dahil parang nahuhulog ako.
I screamed. Sobrang takot na takot ako. Gusto kong gumising, but that will ruin the test.
"Kaya mo to." Tinatagan ko yung sarili ko. Pumikit ako at niyakap yung sarili ko. I bit my lip and let myself fall into the pit of darkness. Ilan minuto na siguro ako lumipas nang mawala yung pagkahulog ko. My hair wasn't going upwards and I felt like I was flying.
Minulat ko yung mata ko at nagulat sa nakita. There were balls filled with sparkling stars. I felt my feet touching a cold surface, I look down and saw a thin marble-like glass. Kumikintab-kintab pa ito at parang may dumaan na mabilis na bulalakaw sa loob.
I once again looked in front and started walking towrard one of the sparkling balls. Nang makalapit ako sa isa, I saw my reflection. That reflection suddenly changed when I touched the ball. Para itong tubig kaya sinubukan kong ilagay yung kamay ko sa loob, nanlaki yung mga mata ko at inalis ko agad.
I was starting to breathe rapidly. Tumingin ako sa paligid at sinubukang titigan ng mabuti lahat ng mga bilog. There were planets, there were stars, at pati narin lahat ng tinuro sakin ng science teacher ko.
Napaupo ako sa hindi alam na sahig. This isn't a floor, this isn't some kind of solid. It a ring of a particular planet in which I won't know, and I will never know.
I stood up and calmed myself down. I started to walk forward, again. Nagsisimulang maging kulay violet ang paligid. Hindi na kulay itim.
Tinignan ko ang paligid at nagulat sa nakita, there are millions of these balls! Sobrang dami!
So that means,
There were millions of me?
"Wake up. Catty!" Napabangon ako bigla. I was breathing hard while looking at them.
"I-I... can't... b-brea-" Nahihirapan kong sabi.
"Yung J2OC, Denisse." Biglang inabot ni Denisse yung injection na may kulay blue sa loob. Kinuha ito ni Kayden at ininject sa isang mukhang oxygen bag. Hindi ko alam kung ano yung tawag doon pero... basta!
Pagkatapos niyang gawin iyon ay guminhawa yung pakiramdam ko. Bigla akong napaiyak sa hindi alam na dahilan and felt Kayden hugging me while combing my hair down.
"Sssh. It's okay. You did great." he hushed. Niyakap ko siya pabalik at napahagulgol nalang sa dibdib niya.
"A-Akala ko m-mamamatay n-na ako." I said while crying. Hindi ko matigil yung iyak ko. Parang ang dami kong gustong i-iyak. Kayden suddenly held my cheeks and looked at me in the eye.
"Buhay ka, okay? Nandito lang kami." I nodded. Tumingin siya kela Denisse at Brett.
"She's fine." He said.
Lumapit sakin si Denisse at niyakap rin ako. Bumitaw si Kayden at tinitigan kami.
"Akala ko maco-comatose ka na naman." Napangiti ako.
"Kinaya ko." I replied.
"So do now believe us?" I turned my head at Brett as he crossed his arms while looking at me.
"Y-Yeah."
This is indeed crazy.
