In a world of magic, things can get complicated. Criminals, for example, are punished by either having their voice taken away and having to become a servant for an aristocratic family, or are turned into an animal. These curses become permanent when the clock strikes 12 a week from the day they are turned. Person A and Person C are partners in crime, but get caught. A is sentenced to muteness and servitude, while C is turned into an animal. A gets assigned to Person B's house, bringing C along, and finds a way to enlist B's help. But, will they make it before the clock?
