a bit of a revamp of the chapter "magical criminals", hopefully an improved scenario!
person a and their friend are thieves. they get by, only barely, and one day they're caught. as punishment, they are sentenced to be transformed into animals. while they manage to escape, person a's friend still ends up transformed, while person a makes it out unscathed. trying to find a solution, person a seeks out a powerful sorcerer... only to be met by person b, the sorcerer's not as skilled apprentice. now, person a and person b are racing against the clock to save person a's friend, and grappling with their growing feelings for each other.
