in a world where magic is real, there is a corrupt king who takes advantage of those with magic. there are regular humans with no magic, of course, as well as humans with magic, and fae. the fae have their own kingdom, banned from the human kingdom. person a is a human with magic, and doesn't bother to hide it, no matter what their loved ones think. person b is a fae, living among humans, hiding it from the rest of the human kingdom. one day, person a finds person b injured, one of their wings torn. person a knows another fae in hiding, and takes person b to get medical attention.
