Chapter 35: Wonderful

"Larken!" I said happily when Zak went in the back,

Larken collided into me giving me kisses and wagging his tail.

"When's the next lockdown" I asked,

"Tomorrow night" Zak replied,

I looked at him,

"Just kidding but it's in a few days" he said smiling

"Where" I asked tired,

"We're doing a 4 night investagation at your old house" Zak said softly,

"One night all of us, then just you and Nick, 3rd night, you and me, and the last night just you" he added.

I sighed uneasy and hugged Larken,

"Unless you don't want too" Zak said.

"No I want too" I said softly.

"How's things with Nick" He asked sitting on the other end of the couch,

"I think he hates me" I muttered,

I looked up and saw Zak giving me his "Really, come on" Look,

"I'm not ready for anyone to kiss me or even sometimes hug me," I tried explaining,

"And that's okay, Nick understands he just wants you to get back to your old self" Zak said smiling.

I took a sharp deep breath in,

"Dad" I asked not breaking contact with the floor,

"What is it" he asked cautious.

"What if I get pregnant from this" I asked scared.

I heard Zak take a deep slow breath in,

"I don't know" He said,

I sighed uneasy as tears filled my eyes.

"Can you.. Get a test" I rambled,

"Is it too early? I guess you can take it on the trip" Zak said slowly getting off of the couch and heading toward the door,

"You'll be fine.. Okay?" Zak said pointing at me.

I nodded my head and pulled out my phone,

Me: Hey Nick?

Nick: Yeah?

Me:I was talking and I was just wondering if..

I looked around wondering if I should tell him, I tapped my phone with my fingers not realizing I sent that little bit of the text,

"Shit" I said crying.

Nick:Wondering what?

I didn't answer, I didn't know what to say.

Nick: Ash, you're kinda starting to make me worry.. What's going on?

I could almost hear is concered voice.

Me: I don't want to take about this over a text I'll talk to you tomorrow I replied

I then opened up a new Text Message screen,

Me: Hey Taylor I need your advice with something... Just call me.

I waited and my phone went off, I looked at the glowing screen

"Dad" It said,

"Hi" I said,

"I look like a dork trying to pick out a good test, what the hell, why so many! Pink ones blue ones, cheap ass ones, million dollar ones, hell, ones that tell you what job your kids gonna have. Just tell me what one I need to get" Zak explained.

"I don't know I've never done this before! Just grab one that looks like it'd work nicely ok?" I asked

"Got it, see you soon" he said

"Ok bye" I said hanging up the phone only to pick it up again,

"Nick I can't talk about this, don't worry I'll be fine" I said

"Wait before you hang up!" Nick said,

"What" I asked.

"I need you to promise me something" he asked,

"What?" I asked,

"That you will bounce back from this, I need you back. My world is dark without you... I just need.. You" he said.

"Now you can hang up but just let that sink in" he added.

I didn't know what to say so I hung up as I heard a knock on the door. Larken puffed up and looked at the door. I got up and opened it to be consumed in a hug,

"What happened" Taylor asked.

"I.. Uh" I said pulling him inside and shutting the door,

We sat on the floor and Larken showered Taylor in kisses then laid down on the couch. I looked at his Black zip up hoodie that he had the hood up on, and his dark jeans that fit nicely with his entire outfit.

"So what's going on" Taylor asked smiling,

I waited a moment,

"I got raped" I said breaking the silence,

Taylor looked at me and his eyes went soft and his smile disappeared,,

"Oh my God, Ashley I'm so sorry" he said,

"And I might be pregnant" I said trailing off at the end.

He looked at me sorrowly and reached out his arms. I hugged him just listening to him him ramble,

"So are you and Nick alright or?" He asked when I stopped zoning out,

"Just kinda starting over, we'll get back the way we were" I replied,

"That's good" he replied stiff,

"I know there's a lot on your mind but I wanna try to talk it out" Taylor said,

"I've already went through it I'm not doing it again" I muttered,

"No problem, You still love Nick?" Taylor asked,

"Of course why?" I said confused looking up at him,

"There's a small problem with that Ashley" Taylor said looking down,

"What" I asked looking Into his eyes.

He opened his mouth and looked at me,

"I'm in love with you"
