It was the big day of James Adam and Jeinstrell Rose. After their whirlwind romance, they were able to finally tie the knot. The reception was held in the vast open field and all the members of the Monterossa family were complete.

Steven was in a group of some men of his age in one corner. They were his and James Adam's playmates way back their childhood days. Anak ang mga ito nga mga sakada nila. Sa una ay kumustahan hanggang sa napunta ang usapan nila sa biruan. He's the life of the party. There was no dull moment with him because he always puts life in every conversation he's involved.
"Steven! I'm glad you're able to make it here!" salubong sa kanya ni James Adam.
Kasalukuyan itong nagpi-picture-taking at ang asawa kasama ng mga bisita nang makita siya nito. He stood up to approach him. His brother gave his left shoulder a quick tap which he later returned.
He didn't tell anyone in the house that he's coming so they were all surprised upon seeing him. He went to his condo unit in Monterossa Condominium straight from the airport. Hindi na muna siya umuwi kasi gusto niyang masurpresa ang lahat pagdating niya.
Aside from James Adam's wedding, he was also up to something important. Brian was going to open a new business and he was chosen to run it, or shall he say, he volunteered to run it.
Sa una ay wala naman talaga siyang interes na magpatakbo ng negosyo dahil mas gusto niya ang mag-perform ngunit napukaw ang interes niya nang tumawag si Marcus sa kanya. Sinabi nito na doon nagtatrabaho si Lorabelle at ibinibenta na raw ng may-ari ang kumpanya. Kaya sa araw ring iyon mismo ay tumawag siya sa kanilang ama at nag-propose na bilhin nito ang DLite Press.
He would use the company to carry out his plans to seek for revenge. Gaganti siya sa babae dahil sa panloloko nito sa kanya noon.
"But of course! I can't afford to miss this moment. Araw yata ng kasal mo. Baka isumpa mo pa ako kapag hindi ako dumalo," he chortled as he was speaking. It was part of his banter.
Tumawa ng pagak ang kapatid sa kanyang sinabi.
"Luko-luko! So, sa lagay ba nito ay ikaw na ang susunod?" James Adam asked.
He knew that the man's intention was clear. Pero tila pakiramdam niya ay may kumurot sa kanyang puso dahil sa tanong nito. He secretly hovered his eyes around as if he was searching for something. Someone to be exact. He gently nodded his head to toss what he has in his mind away. Bakit ba umaasa siyang makikita niya ang taong iyon dito? Stupid him for having such kind of thought!
"O, natahimik ka na dyan? Anything wrong?" James Adam confirmed. It seemed like he was able to read his mind.
"Of course not! At hindi pa ako ang susunod. Mauuna siguro sina John Francis at Marcus. Girls? Huh! Not in my vocabulary."
But before James Adam could answer, someone called him already.
"Sir James Adam, hali po muna kayo rito para magpa-picture!" tawag ng photographer sa lalaki.
He saw the group of people that the photographer pointed. Sa hinuha niya ay mga sakada rin ng kanilang taniman ang mga iyon.
"So I'll see you around, bro! Enjoy the party!" paalam nito sa kanya sabay tapik ulit sa kanyang balikat.
"I sure will. Best wishes!"
Lihim na lang siyang napapangiti habang napapailing nang mawala sa kanyang harapan ang kapatid.
