Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)

It was the day of my best friend Jesse Lingard's launch of his merch, JLingz. Jesse and I have been best friends since primary school and are still best friends. He became a footballer in his dream team Manchester United. I went down the medical path and chose to be a medical attendant in injuries off the pitch.

I decided this was the time to wow the crowd. I chose my outfit and I was looking quite good if I'd say so myself.

I drove down to the venue and was checked by security but luckily I successfully got through. It was so beautiful. I was stunned. I tried to look for Jesse but he was no where to be seen. I bumped into his teammates and friends. Smalling. Martial. Pogba. De Gea. Lots of people. I walked towards the bar and asked for a drink until I was greeted by a familiar face.

'Y/n! You made it!' Jesse's cousin Gabby said

'Oh Gabby! I haven't seen you in years' I replied shocked to see her

'Yeah I'm so sorry. I have been busy with football matches and tours it's been crazy' she said

'Well everyone is busy now. I can't even find Jesse'

'Wow I thought I was the only one. One minute I was talking to him, the next he was dragged away by someone. Well enjoy yourself my lovely' she said as she walked away

I was on my own for a while until I was blinded with their hands by someone.

'Guess who!'

'Jesse!' I exclaimed

I turned around and my guess was correct. I smiled at him and gave him the biggest hug.

'Congrats Jesse' I said as I pulled away from the hug

'Thank you y/n. I'm sorry I couldn't see you earlier on'

'Oh no it's fine. You were busy so I don't really want to intrude'

'Ok that's awesome. Make yourself comfortable. I know my bestie loves a good drink night. I know I won't see you again tonight so have a nice evening and enjoy'

'Thanks bestie. Good luck tonight!'

Me and Jesse part ways as you see some of your friends hanging out as you go and join them

'Hey babes!' Your friend Grace said

'Hiya girlies! Didn't think you would make it!' You replied

'You really think we would miss this? When a famous footballer you have as your lover-' Sabrina said

'Oi! Jesse is not my lover. He's my best friend. I can never go for him. I don't see him like that' I cut Sabrina off, laughing seconds later

'Ok, ok as I was saying, nobody would want to miss this party'

'I'm not going to stay for long. I want an early night' I say

'Oh no y/n please stay. It will be boring without you' Grace said

'I'll see how the night goes'

A few hours later

I sit alone at the bar as my 'friends' ditched me for the dance floor.

'I believe this is your drink' the bartender says, snapping me out of my daydream.

'I never ordered this drink' I said with confusion on my face

'No I did' I voice said behind me as I turned around

'What is pretty girl like you doing all alone' the guy said

'I'm just doing nothing I guess. Well, until you turned up

'Sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm Marcus' he said as he kissed my cheek

'My name is y/n' I replied

'Y/n? That is a beautiful name'

'Thank you. So how do you know Jesse?' I asked

'We are really good friends. One of my best friends actually. We play in Manchester United together' he said

'That's cute' I said

'Your the cutest' he replies

There is a silence between us as we stare into each other's eyes, until it is broken

'Yooo Marcus my guy!' Jesse says as he bro hugs him and does a handshake.

'I see you have met y/n' he says as he puts you in a headlock

'Let's all take a picture' I said as I get my phone out

'Don't worry. I'll do it on my phone' Jesse said

Gabby comes along and joins you three for a photo.

'I've got to go Jess. Busy day tomorrow' I said

'Oh no! It will be a sad party without you' Jesse said with a pout

'I'll call you tomorrow' I said

As I was about to leave, I see Marcus smiling. We swapped numbers and I left.  Days past and we met up a few times had our first kiss and started dating.
