A tense silence invaded its way through the small physical therapy room. It weighed heavily on the inhabitants as it engulfed the room whole. It weaved its way into every nook and cranny until there was no space left unaffected.
The feeling was unavoidable. Heavy. There was no escaping it and because of that, no words were spoken.
Neither Genevieve or Jackson had the desire to speak up and break the hushed confines which wound tightly around the room. Honestly, how could either one utter a single syllable after what happened? It seemed impossible at the moment—considering what transpired between Genevieve and the woman she had the pleasure of calling her therapist.
It was immediately after the short dispute between the two women, that the dreaded silence spread its way throughout the room. It was thick and uncomfortable which made the urge to break it unappealing and rather daunting.
Genevieve knew she was to blame for it considering her stubborn willed nature decided to rear its ugly head. However, at the moment she didn't care.
