•A CHANGE IS GONNA COME•

The halls echoed softly as doctors, nurses, and the occasional visitor passed by. Most of them seemed to be lost in thought, but every now and then a fair few conversed amongst themselves, and Genevieve's gaze would naturally flick towards them. She studied the people that passed by and noticed there were even some who seemed to be dead set on their task at hand. Overall most were oblivious to her presence and didn't think twice about sparing a glance towards her.
She was relieved most of them ignored her, but every once in a while, one or two would look her way and she couldn't help but think it was brave of them.
Every time she noticed a new set of eyes on her, it was hard to ignore the way they'd stare. They goggled like she was on fire. Their eyes would bug-out slightly, and if there was someone next to them they'd turn and mutter a few words under their breath. She had a feeling that whatever they whispered amongst each other had something to do with her. It reminded her of the last time she found herself alone with Mark Sloan. As they continued down the hall she couldn't' help but think that maybe it wasn't just her that caused them to whisper, maybe it was him too.
