Shawn and I decided to go our separate ways.

It seemed as if whenever we were together we were always at out lowest or highest point.

I loved him, I really did.

and I still do.

But he deserves way better.

(Next day)

Today was the weekend. Finally!

I just wanted to be alone.

I checked the time,

8:00 am.

Why am I up so early?

Oh right.

The new neighbors' moving truck is so damn loud. I am not a morning person.

I looked outside to see what looked like a family.

I saw a mom, a dad,

And a daughter.

She looked about a year younger than me.

She had long curly blonde hair, bright green eyes, and she was tiny.

She wore a black floral sundress with black vans.

My phone vibrated.

Matt.

Ma- hey

M- hi. what's up?

Ma- I heard my cousin just moved in on your street.

M- oh that's sick. I think she's my new neighbor :)

Ma- cool. Can I come over now to introduce you to her?

M- yeah of course.

I got ready and went downstairs and got a cliff bar.

I started to eat it and soon the door had a knock.

I opened it to see Matt in khakis and an Aaron carpenter baseball tee and red vans.

I smiled at him.

"Wanna go meet my cousin?" he asked.

"Yeah sure. What is her name?" I replied.

"Rebecca. She's from Georgia by the way." he smiled and I nodded.

We walked over across the grass and to the front door when Matt tapped Rebecca on the shoulder. She gasped and engulfed him in a bear hug and I awkwardly chuckled and stood there.

"Hey I'm mikayla. i'm matt's friend." I introduced myself.

"Rebecca. " she replied shyly.

"Mikayla is your neighbor." he smiled and she nodded.

"Cool, are you and Matt dating?" she randomly blurted out and Matt and I laughed.

"Nah we just are friends. She has a boy toy of her own." Matt smirked.

"Ohhhh." Rebecca smirked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well it's complicated. We aren't dating anymore. I honestly don't know what we are." I explained to her.

"So it's not Matt?" She slightly frowned and I shook my head no and we all laughed.

I looked at the time.

It was 8:27 and I promised Jack and Jack I would play soccer with them today at 9:00.

I said bye to Rebecca and Matt and went home quickly and got dressed. I grabbed my nike drawstring bag and shoved my water bottle in there along with my cleats.
