He would come nearly every day to my small little cavern in the lagoon he wouldn't do anything apart from stand and look out to the horizon his facial expression was always stoic but his eyes would show sadness and loneliness it drew her to want to be closer to him.

 But it was impossible they both had human head, arms and upper torso but he had legs and well she had a tail

Somedays her curiosity would almost get her caught she would watch him behind a rock sometimes for too long he would turn his head almost capturing a glimpse of her it made her heart pound it was risky but it was almost like a game.

She sank back down to the bottom she wanted to know more about him, more about how he lived, how humans lived. She wanted nothing more to be apart of the world above the ocean surface.

He knew this time he wasn't hearing things the voice that he could hear definitely belonged to a female the sound of a sweet melody filled his ears as well as the odd playful giggle but every time he looked he always found nothing.

Silently he approached to make sure that this time he would catch the girl that sang beautifully he peered his head above a rock only to be met by a mesmerizing sight.

there she was the girl that he had been looking for she had flowing pink hair that shined he watched her as she dipped her fingers in the water and wiggled them playfully causing ripples in the water.

She sighed contently as she finished the last verse of the song pushing herself back up into a sitting position the sound of rocks falling startled her.

 she glanced up to look at the surrounding only for her eyes to meet with some familiar Dark ones she let out a yelp before tumbling back falling into a small pool of water she pushed the hair out of her face to find him staring at her almost like he was afraid

She, she has a tail? Where the thoughts that were running through his mind slowly he began to walk back

 ''W-wait! You'll-'' he wasn't paying attention he stumbled on a rock plummeting into the water he resurfaced coughing the water that had enters his mouth childish giggles filled his ears
