Loki's POV

"Mother. As much as I would love for them to go, Thor and I have things to do as kings and neither of us can go with them. And we have to prepare everything for Juni when she becomes queen." I told my mother when she said the kids were wanting to go to Midgard. All I said was true though. It was hard for us to keep up with king stuff and with Juniper being first born even though she's a twin, she was ultimately the first to reign. We offered both her and Silas can reign together because of being twins but Silas had other plans. Like live in Midgard by age 30. But he had to have an illusion all the time in Midgard. And with being a god, he would live much longer than Midgardians if nothing happened.

"Baby boy. You should let them go. Milana is 14 and the twins are 17. You have friends on Midgard. A week should be sufficient time for them. Milana never visited Midgard before and it's been 14 years since the twins have and they barely remember." She told me. I sighed. "I'll talk to Thor. See what he says. I'd love for them to go. But it's just not about safety. It's about what those so called friends are going to tell them about me."

She sighed. "Listen, son. They'll say whatever they want to. No matter how much you or Thor try and make them promise not to. Eventually the children need to know."

"So they can hate me more than they already do? I don't think so." I scoffed. I ran a hand over my face. "I always do or say something to make them upset with me. If those dimwitted Midgardians say something about my past that I wish now didn't happen, they'll be upset with me forever."

My mother gave me a sad look. "Well, just think on it, love. Will you?" She asked me. I sighed but nodded. "Yes, mother." I said and stood up. She stood up as well. "I should go have dinner prepared for the children. Would you and your brother care to join or will you both eat later?" She asked me. I shrugged. "I'm not hungry but I don't know about Thor. He might join if I go and ask."

She gave me a small smile. "If you two do care to join, I'll have enough made. If not, it will still be there for when you both get hungry." She tells me and I nod before she leaves her room to go down the hallway.

I exited the room as well and magicked my way back to Thor and I's room due to being to lazy to walk back. As I entered, I heard light snoring. Which indicated Thor was asleep. He was bundled up under the covers and his golden hair was all over the pillows.

Lightly smiling at my lover, I crawled in with him, trying not to wake him up. But failing, his eyes fluttered open to look at me. "Sorry." I lightly smiled, running my hand through his hair. "I didn't want to wake you up. You looked so peaceful, Thor." I whispered, giving him a kiss on the forehead.

He hummed at me, wrapping me up in his arms and falling back asleep. I chuckled, continuing to run my hand through his hair, lightly massaging his scalp. Moments like these made it all worth it. Where Thor and I just had some time to ourselves and we could cuddle. Cuddle time was always the best with him.

Hours passed before he finally woke back up and he let go of me to stretch. "How long have I been asleep?" He asked as he looked at me. "At least a couple hours. Since I went to talk to mother, I assume. You briefly woke up for about 5 minutes when I got into bed and then fell back asleep."

He hummed and smiled up at me. "Has anyone told you that you were beautiful, brother?" He asked, raking a hand through my hair. "Yes." I smiled. "You. On many occasions." I whispered, giving him a kiss. He kissed back and held me to his chest. We stayed like this until the nagging in the back of my mind became unbearable.

"Thor?" I asked, shifting so I could look up at him. He looked back down at me. "Yes, Loki?" He asked. I chewed on my lip for a second. "I think we should let the children go to Midgard. If your iron friend will let them stay with him for a few days, they should be fine. Right?" I asked. He furrowed his eyebrows at me then shrugged his shoulders. "I guess so. But I thought you didn't want them to go. Because of everything that happened."

I sighed and set my head back on his chest. "Even if we try and get your silly Midgardian friends not to say anything, I know one day, something might slip out and the kids will ask about it. If so, neither you or I can stop it." I sighed again.

His arm that was around me slightly tightened. "Are you sure?" Was all he asked. I nodded against his chest. "Yes. I'm sure."

"Okay." He said and sighed. "Well, I'm hungry. Let us go get some food." He said and sat up. I chuckled as we got out of bed. "Okay brother. Let's go eat."
