" good work today guys! rest well! " you shouted. you were the cheer captain and your practice just ended. since volleyball training ended an hour later, you'd always wait for akaashi and walk home with him since you guys lived in the same direction.
" bye bye (name) chan! " your friends greeted.
you flashed them a quick smile and waved to them, then proceeded to your locker to change into some comfy clothes.
that's when you realised that you had forgotten to bring spare clothes to change. what's worse was that it was raining. you sneezed and shivered. goosebumps started to form on your arms. you made your way to the gym since you were done packing.
it became a weekly thing for you to go to the gym to visit akaashi. everyone knew that you'd come. you opened the door of the gym and greeted everyone.
" hey guys, how's training going? "
" (name) chan! you're looking extra good today! bokuto shouted and everyone added on with their own thoughts, agreeing with what he said.
you just smiled and ran your hand through your hair. you loved them. you grew quite close to them and they're all like brothers you've never had.
suddenly, a pair of strong arms came behind you and engulfed you in a big hug. akaashi kisses your cheek and helped you put on his jacket.
" you're shivering, (name) chan. wait for me for awhile, alright? i won't take long. "
akaashi gave you a faint smile as he wiped sweat off of his forehead and ran towards the locker room. once he was out of sight, everyone cooed, especially bokuto.
" i-i still remember when you both were still little babies. you guys grown so fast, it's painful. "
everyone laughed as bokuto pretended to wipe a tear. you couldn't help but chuckle. you love them.
" ready to go, ( name ) chan? " akashi asked while opening up an umbrella. you linked your arms with his and walked home together in this rainy weather. you snuggled closer to him as you were really cold. his warmth was comforting, so was his heartbeat.
" you know i love you, right, keiji? " this was very in the moment but that was what made it so special and intimate. " and i hope you know i love you equally as much, ( first name ) , or if not, maybe even more. "
you guys stopped walking as he said that sentence. something about that made it so emotional, you couldn't help but let a tear slip. akaashi used his thumb to brush the stray tear off and kissed you in the lips passionately, under the rainy weather.
idk how to explain but that writing style totally changed from " ready to go ... " onwards and i'm not even mad????? that writing style made me look so professional i'm so happy??????
