**Stefan's POV**

Everything around me seemed to stop as she said that. Me? As her mate? I mean yeah I wanted to be with her so badly and I knew I would have to prove that to her father. But could I?

Well I needed to answer her fast before something happened that I'll regret.

"How do I officially accept you?" I whispered as she gasped and tried to hide the smile that was spreading across her face.

"For a human you're doing pretty well with adjusting to all of this," she kissed me gently as I pulled her closer to me.

"I think it's because of the woman I'm with," I stared into her eyes and just felt myself being consumed. It was enthralling and yet nerve wrecking.

"Let's go tell Ella about their song selection," she began as I picked her back up and kissed her harder.

"You really need to stop doing that," she said breathlessly.

"Why?" I winked and kissed her again as we made our way back into the house.

"Here they are," Blake winked, "seems like we should be planning your wedding instead of ours."

I punched him playfully as Ella brought out two different dresses for Ash to try on.

"Try the green one on first," she winked as Ashley went into the bathroom with both.

Ella whispered something to Blake and giggled when I caught her looking at me. What on Earth was going on?

"What?" I felt a blush creeping onto my cheeks.

"I see the way you look at her," she spoke bluntly.

"Well I can't deny that," I scratched the back of my neck as Ashley stepped out.

"Wow," Blake whistled as I just stood absolutely still.

"Ash you look hot!" Ella gushed as she went over and examined the strapless eyelet dress on her.

"I would say that's an understatement, because your boyfriend is speechless," Blake nudged my side as I tried to stammer some sort of remark. "Er, well..."

"Try the other one on," Ella pushed her back towards the bathroom as Blake just chuckled.

"So music wise, I like what you played so far," Ashley tried speaking through the bathroom door.

"I did too!" Blake called back to her.

The door opened again as she stepped out in a short yellow dress that was had one strap and had some kind of roses on it.

"Wow," I breathed as she turned around and allowed Ella to tie the back of it for her.

"I think he likes this one," she whispered to Ella as I coughed to try and cover up my shock.

"Go ahead and take this one home then," she winked at Ashley who just blushed.

I think it was safe to say that I had never wanted a girl so badly as I did right then and there.

Blake and Ella seemed to notice the electricity that was humming between us as they just allowed us to leave without another word. Was it that apparent that I wanted to make her mine?

Ashley grabbed her crutches as she slowly walked out with me to my car.

I opened the door for her and hurried over to my side as I got in and kissed her deeply.

"My place or yours?" I asked her softly as I caressed her cheek.

"Definitely yours," she breathed and leaned in to kiss me again.

That was all I needed to hear as I sped away towards my house with my heart thundering in my stomach. I hadn't felt this way in so long nor so fast... If only I knew what she was thinking.

"Ash?" I spoke quietly when I pulled into my driveway and noticed my parents weren't home.

"Yes?" she gazed at me as I felt the breath leave me.

I got out of the car and just carried her inside as we made our way upstairs and towards my room.

She scooted over as I sat beside her and felt her breathing quicken. Was I making her this nervous?

"We don't, I mean... I don't want to do anything you're not comfortable with..." I stammered as she hugged me tightly.

"Stef, it's fine. I'm not scared okay? Besides," she blushed and pulled her hair back, "I'm the one with the canines."

I kissed her cheek and stared at her dress with interest. "Ashley, how does this mate thing work?"

"I have to um... mark you," she murmured.

"Mark me?" I frowned.

"It's like a bite. Doesn't hurt, but it'll show and represent that you're mine and I'm yours."

"Do I have to bite you back?"

She giggled, "no you don't have to do that."

"Okay good," I sighed and still wanted to ask, "can I do something different then?"

"Depends," she eyed me and I knew she didn't know what I meant.

"Like maybe... for starts we take this off," I tugged at the edge of her dress and stared at her intently.

**Cliffhanger! haha yes but I'm typing this as quickly as I can, so enjoy!**
