Chapter eight

Tony stood up immediately followed by the guys the folded their arms glaring at Nosa

" What do you want" Justice questioned

" Justice, I didn't come to look for trouble" he stated

" If not trouble, why are you here? " Josh asked

" I need to talk Adesuwa"

I looked shocked so as the rest but Tony quickly masked his emotions again

" Me? " He nodded

" Look, I know Kezz has threatened you to make your life miserable" as he spoke I saw the surprise look on all my friends face, he looked at their face and mine " you didn't tell them " he asked raising an eyebrow at me. I closed my eyes.

" Tell us what" Tony inquired

" If she hasn't told you, it's not in my place to say it " he said to Tony and turned back to me. "I just want to be friends with you, I'm not even in support of what Kezz is doing" he spoke.

I knew he spoke with sincerity but I couldn't just accept him. He is Kezz friends.

" I can't be friends with you, I don't trust you" I stated

" I don't need you to trust me now, after all I'm friends with Kezz, just give me time to prove myself"

" Why all of a sudden" Chioma asked

" Well he doesn't appreciate our friendship"

"And you expect us to believe that six years friendship just gone" Tina asked in total disbelief

"Twelve not six, he doesn't value it" he spoke with pain written all over his face after some seconds he masked it " Kezz is really pissed off right now and he is planning something else"

" Nosa" Naomi called

" I have to go, I'll see you guys later" he said and ran off to meet Naomi placing a kiss on her lips before walking out.

" Wow" Josh blurted out calming the thick tension " that was intense"

" Yeah intense" I said as Nosa words rang in my ear. Kezz is pissed and is planning something else

" Adesuwa, what was Nosa talking about" Tony asked

" What are you keeping from us" Tina added. I looked at all of them as I searched for a lie to come up with in my mind.

" Don't think of lying to us" Chioma stated with hands akimbo

" Okay fine. I'll tell you guys. Kezz came to meet me in class one day and threatened me, he told me to get ready to leave this school..."

" When did this happen" Tony asked with clenched jaw

" A long time ago, that time you guys met me in class and I was spaced out" Chioma nodded

" That day you were not yourself"

I nodded " everything has been Kezz" I said

" What do you mean everything" Justice asked

" My biology note, he tore it"

" The wrong medication you gave to that junior student" Chioma asked and I nodded

" Painting English teacher cloth" Justice asked and I nodded

" Wait, when you broke your leg you lied about slipping" Josh questioned and I nodded.

All this while, Tony kept quiet, I could see the anger radiating through him. He couldn't take the last one he bursted out.

" I'm going to kill Kezz " he said in a loud voice that attracted the entire class members. He was about storming off when justice stopped him.

" I can't believe that bastard did all this to you" Tony barked. He turned to me furious " why didn't you tell us?"

I jerked back from him a little "I didn't want you guys to worry about me. It's my fault I got Kezz suspended not you guys and. I knew you guys especially to Tony will react this way"

" Look we're all friends, what are friends for" Justice said and Josh cut in

" If not to fight your battle"

I laughed and nodded. I turned to Tony who still looked pissed. I hugged him, he stiffened and finally relaxed in my hug. His head on mine " I'm sorry, I kept it from you"

" It's okay" he stroke my head

"No more secrets " Tina said

" No more secrets" I replied

" C'mon lets have a group hug" Josh said

" I don't do hugs" Tony stated back with his poker face

" But you just hugged Adesuwa" Justice mused.

I blushed "Just this once" I pleaded and he nodded. Joshua pulled us into a group hug.
