The next morning, they all got dressed in their school uniforms and headed to the dining hall for breakfast. The walk from their hostel to the dining hall was a long one, and they had to be there before 6:00 am. Adesuwa's mind drifted to the conversation she had with her friends the day before, and she couldn't help but mull over their words.

As they walked, Adesuwa replayed their conversation in her head, trying to find a way to see things from their perspective. She knew that they had her best interests at heart, but she couldn't shake the feeling that they were being too cautious.

The quiet of the morning allowed her to think more clearly, and she started to see things from a different angle. Maybe her friends were right. Maybe she was being too impulsive, and not considering all the potential risks. The thought made her uneasy, but she knew that she needed to be honest with herself if she wanted to make the right decision.

The dining rules were strict and had to be followed. Adesuwa glanced at her wrist watch to see it was almost six and quickly hastened her speed, pulling her friends with her.

#rule no1_ Arrive one minute late and miss breakfast, that was the strict rule. Punctuality was key

Another rule of the dinning was to sit down five on a table.

#rule no 2_ five people per table. Any deviation from this would result in the punishment of washing pots and plates three times a day for a week.

As they arrived at the dining hall and took their seats with Tony, they recognized him from his popularity, but didn't really know him personally. He was tall, with light skin and a handsome face but had a quiet personality. Adesuwa's attention was quickly diverted to Joshua, who sat next to him and was saying something to him. Joshua had always been one of the funniest guys in their set. Adesuwa couldn't help but raise a friendly smile to them.

"We'll be sitting together for the rest of the term, so we might as well get to know each other," Joshua said cheekily, prompting a scowl from Tony after whispering something to him.

That was one of the dinning rules.

#rule no5_ The seating arrangement rule was simple: wherever you sit at the beginning of the term, remains your table for the rest of the term. No punishment was attached to this rule.

Adesuwa couldn't help but smile as she noticed Chioma staring intently at Joshua. She had always known about Chioma's crush on him, but she was waiting for Chioma to tell her about it first. Adesuwa had always been the one to snap Chioma out of her reverie whenever she got too caught up in her daydreams about Joshua. She quickly thought of a plan to distract Chioma before Joshua noticed her staring.

"Hey, Chioma, did you hear about the new English teacher? I heard she's really strict but also really good," Adesuwa said, hoping to divert Chioma's attention.

"We have a new teacher?" Chioma frowned, "Who is she?" Chioma asked, turning her gaze away from Joshua.

"I don't remember her name, but I heard she's really tough. We should probably start studying harder," Adesuwa replied, glad that Chioma was now focused on a new topic.

Chioma scrunched her nose up at the 'studying'.

Tina, who had been staring at the other tables around, like she was looking for someone, looked back at them and chimed in. "I heard that she gives out a lot of homework too. We should probably start preparing for that."

Adesuwa grinned, relieved that her plan had worked. She looked over at Joshua, who was whispering something again to Tony, and couldn't help but thankful about that. Joshua was an attractive, with his dark hair on low cut and dull brown eyes, she didn't blame her friend for being head over heels with him.
