Dear Disney,

Thank you for ruining the lives of countless children. You fed them lies about the real world and made them believe in things that don't exist. Like mermaids. Many girls right now either do or did wish they could be a mermaid after watching The Little Mermaid, but they can't.

Me (as a kid): I want to be a mermaid when I grow up!

Older siblings: Mermaids aren't real.
