Chapter 39
Zayn’s POV
Ever since we boarded the plane, Gen has not said one word to me. I know she has been trying to avoid me and it has been awkward, but we both know that I still like her. We are now landed in Florida and Sandra, being the nice person she is, offered to let me stay in their apartment and sleep in the spare bedroom. I know Gen was pissed off about it and that may have been why I accepted the offer too …
“Come in” I reply after hearing a knock at my door
“Hi” Sandra says
“Hi”
“So… uh, Gen and I are going to watch a movie and we … I was wondering if you would like to join” She asks
“Ummm no I’m fine, I will just go do my own thing” I reply. I definitely do not want to make Gen any more upset than she already is
I walk out of the room to find Sandra and Gen sitting on the couch watching Twilight. Gen and I make awkward eye contact for a while before she quickly turns her head realising that it was me
“Uh, I’m just going to visit Oliver” I say quietly before leaving the apartment
“I need a driver to drive me to Perrie’s place”
“The driver will be there in 5 minutes” management replies

“Zayn?” Perrie says as she answers the door
“Hi” I say before she pushes me out and closes the door
“What are you doing here? … early?”
“I decided to take the same flight as my friends. Is that a problem?”
“Look, I don’t need you here anymore. I got Simon to sign the forms and I texted you yesterday” she replies
“Why would you do that? I thought we needed an interview and everything”
“Zayn, we are both famous and we are sending Oliver to an expensive school, what more can the school ask for?”
“So I came here for nothing?”
“Pretty much” she sighs
“Well can I at least see Oliver?”
“He’s sleeping”
“Not a problem, I can wait inside then” I say and go to open the door but she stops me by pushing my chest
“What are you doing?” I ask her confused
“Zayn, I don’t think you should see him anymore”
“What are you talking about?” I ask raising my voice
“I don’t want you to see Oliver anymore”
“WHAT! TELL ME WHY! PERRIE! HE IS MY OWN GOD DAMN SON!”
“And I am doing this to protect him!”
“WHAT DID I EVER DO WRONG!”
“I DON’T WANT HIM TO BE LOOKED AT WITH DISGRACE BECAUSE OF HIS FATHER, ZAYN! YOU DON’T HAVE THE BEST REPUTATION RIGHT NOW!”
“WHAT DID I DO PERRIE! TELL ME!” I yell at the top of my lungs
“YOU ARE HAVING THIS ON AND OFF THING WITH GEN AND OLIVER COMES ALONG THINKING THAT WE ARE TOGETHER, WHICH YES WE WERE AT THE TIME BUT NOW WHAT? YOU BRING GEN HOME THE SAME TIME I BRING SAM AND I HAVE TO ADMIT IT IS MY FAULT TOO BUT NOW, NEWS IS THAT SHE IS WITH LOUIS BUT YOU CLAIM TO HIM THAT YOU TWO ARE STILL TOGETHER?” she yells back
