"MOM!" I shout as I enter my house.

"CHASE!" Mom runs over to me and greets with a huge hug.

"CHASE!" Daniel yells and attacks me in a hug as well.

"Hi, Dad," I greet him.

"How was it?" He asks. "Did you have fun? Did you guys kiss? Did you have gelato? Did you kiss?"

I fight a blush as I answer. "Good. Yes, lots. No. Yes. Again, no."

"I'm glad you had fun," Mom says, patting my back. "Get some rest. We have to go to Mr.Jameson's ranch in the afternoon."

I groan. Mr.Jameson is an amazing man, but every year he has a different dressing theme. This year is Western which means everyone has to wear flannels, jeans, and boots. We have a huge barbecue and then we all take pictures in the bluebonnets.

"Oh and this year the Bradley's are joining," Mom adds as I go upstairs.

"Okay. I'm going to take a nap."

"Alrighty. We leave at 4:30."

"Got it."

I go into my room and close the door. Once I change into pajamas and wash my face, I settle down on my bed.

A text interrupts my Instagram scrolling.

Asher.

TrAsh- What am I supposed to wear for the ranch thing?

Me- The girls can just wear flannels, jeans of some sort, and cowboy boots

trAsh- what about the guys

Me- Flannels, jeans, cowboy boots with spurs, hat (VERY FREAKING IMPORTANT), bandanna, suspenders, and of course carry a lasso on your belt

trAsh- WHERE THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO FIND A LASSO

Me- Make one, duh

trAsh- Why is my mom making me go to this?

Me- Because it's fun and everyone wants to meet Harper

trAsh- don't you mean that you want to see me?

Me- Definitely not. I was stuck with you for 4 days in a row, I miss Harper already tho....

trAsh- You were with Harper more than me!

Me- Tru, Harper's more fun and lovable than you

trAsh- Speaking of Harper, he just called you Mommy

Me- WHAT?!

trAsh- he called you mommy instead of Mama

Me- Omg

I stop texting him and call him instead.

"Sup, Chase," He answers.

"He called me Mommy and you're okay with that?" I ask.

"Of course...do you mind?"

"Not at all. I was just making sure you were cool with it."

"I'm cool. I just don't want you to feel like you have to play your role as a mother. It's your decision. If you don't want that kind of burden, then I can get him to stop and call you Mama or Chase—"

"Ash, it's okay. I can handle it and I don't mind at all."

"Okay. Just a sec."

I hear some rustling before Asher speaks again.
