People always say the part after is always the worst. They say that that’s the part where everything always catches up to you and reminds you of what you did before. That ‘after’ is just another word for regret because you can’t change what you once did. ‘You’ve made your bed and now you’ve got to lie in it.’
I never knew why I always disagreed with these people. I never really thought of what happened before and when I did it wasn’t in a negative way. It was what it was; my past.
But all of these thoughts and memories were soon forgotten when he came back into my life. How he showed me what it was to forget and trust me, forget I did.
I understand now why my life was split into two parts. It wasn’t to show me what I had before it happened or how much love there was in an atmosphere, no. It was to lead me to him. To show me how much one single person can change your life, forever.
But until that very person comes back, the story starts off with what happened after.
