"I didn't get to talk," He frowned.

"Let go of me," I seethed.

"No," He said still frowning.

"You're hurting me," I said softly and just as I suspected he let go. I took it as my chance to run away.

"D*mnit Brooke! You don't understand!" Adam called after me.

"Neither does anyone else! Everyone thinks I cheated on you," I yelled as he stumbled.

"What?" He said.

"Go away," I cried, "I need to get to class."

                                                                 ------------------------------

"Brooke, are you sitting with us today?" Tiana asked as we walked to lunch.

"No, I just feel like avoiding Adam right now," I shrugged.

"So where are you going to sit?" She asked.

"The garden with Zac," I replied. Maybe it's not the best place, being to place where I first actually talked to Adam, but it's all I've got.

"Oh, ok. Are we still going dress shopping next week?? 'Cause it's fine if you don't want to," Tiana rambled.

"Yea we're still going," I grinned at her and she grinned back.

"Ok, see you later," Tiana said hugging me, "And if you need me, you know where I am,"

We split up and I walked towards the garden, the place that I haven't been in since the beginning of the year. I sat down on the stone bench and opened my lunch.

Adam's POV

I looked around for Brooke. She can't hide forever. Ok maybe I sound like a crazy ex-boyfriend, but Brooke needs to know the truth. I sat down across from Tiana, who is glaring at me, and Clayton.

"Uh, well hi," I said awkwardly at Tiana. "I guess I should tell you guys what happened,"

"Yea," Tiana scoffed, "You had a hot make out session with your crazy ex and Brooke caught you. End of story,"

"No, it's different," I scowled.

"Ok, just tell us. I can't decide which side to pick," Clayton sighed. I started talking telling every detail in excessive detail.

"And that's why I need to talk to Brooke." I said once I finished.

"Oh," Tiana said biting her lip.

"Ok, so do you know where she is?" I asked.

"The-," Tiana started but I cut her off.

"Garden! Why didn't I think of that before," I said as I gathered my stuff and headed off towards the garden.

Brooke's POV

I hear someone walking through the garden and I got up expecting Tiana to come out from behind the sunflowers. But I was wrong. Adam stepped through the flowers, biting his lip.

"Adam get out of here," Zac growled.

"I need to talk to Brooke! I need to explain!" Adam said.

"You need to explain?" I scoffed, "There's nothing to explain."

"Yes there is something to explain if you would just listen to me," Adam pleaded.

"Yea like I'm gonna listen to you if you just walk up to me," I said sarcastically.

"Come on Brooke, let's go," Zac said tugging my arm and I followed him hoping Adam isn't going to follow us.

                                                              ----------------------------------

"We're going shopping!" Tiana sung in a very off key tone.

"Tiana shut up, people are staring," I laughed. It's good to get away from everyone at school and Adam.

"Never!" She grinned.

"Then I won't tell you what color my dress is," I grinned back.

"Your mom started it," Tiana said raising an eyebrow.

"Yup, she's back in town along with my brothers," I grinned.

"Tell me the color!" Tiana whined.

"It's going to be white," I smiled.

"It's gonna look so pretty on you," Tiana gushed, "Oh look we're here!"

We entered the door to the shop and entered. Racks of dresses lined the wall, from top to bottom. We looked through the racks picking out an occasional dress. Once Tiana had an armful of colorful dresses we walked to the dressing rooms. She opened the curtain and stepped out in a frilly pink mess.

"Why'd we even pick that?" I laughed. Tiana rolled her eyes and went back to try on the rest of the dresses. Finally we were left with only one dress left.

"What if we never find a dress?" Tiana frowned.

"Just go try on the last one," I rolled my eyes. She went back into the room and then stepped out in a strapless, royal purple dress with a high low skirt. The color brought out her dark hair and the skirt made her look a bit taller. It had a cinched sweetheart neckline with flowers and beads near it.

"It's perfect," Tiana sighed. "Plus it's on sale, only a hundred dollars,"

"Ok, go change. We need to pay and get shoes," I grinned as Tiana happily walked back into the dressing room.
