Look! It's more of Jack Woods!

Also note that the fast paced paragraph style that is in the first novel hasn’t been followed over into this one yet. Before I upload the next chapter I’m going to edit these previous chapters and try to keep uniformity. (EDIT: Done and done look forward to the next chapter soon.)

The cellar was quiet, or at least he thinks it was a cellar, there were racks of wine lined up in rows. He thinks maybe there was a word for it but it wasn’t coming to him. Jack was tied to a support beam with his arms yanked back at an uncomfortable angle.

He could have cut himself from the ropes long ago but was indulging his captors. Sun light was leaking in through the small windows situated high up on the wall behind him and he’s not too sure how long these thugs were going to keep him waiting.

He wasn’t too worried they’ll have no choice but to let him go soon or risk bringing the wrath of the Gold Rust pack down on their heads. Even if they didn’t know it they’d have a lot of pissed off wolves knocking at their door. Sure these thugs did know that he’s a part of Gold Rust but what they didn’t know is, Jack Woods is Cloe Ruxing’s little brother. They didn’t share last names because Cloe didn’t want people to attack her little brother to get at her.

Jack was spacing out thinking about that girl he’d given the Bite to most recently, Lexi Lane. She’d been crashing at his place for the past few days, waiting for her first change so she could be with someone who knew what to do when that time came. Since the full moon had just passed she’d be there for a few more weeks.

The door opened then and Jack herd five heavily built men descend the stairs. Jack looked up at them curiously as they rounded the wine rack and came into view. Four of them were obviously basic meat heads who were dumber than wood were only there to protect the fifth guy, tall, dark and handsome.

“Lenny!” Jack greeted with a bright smile. “Man, am I glad to see you.” Lenny cut him off with his deep and threatening voice that sent chills up Jack’s spine.

“Cut the act Jack, I want my money.” The meat heads turned their guns on Jack who smelled the silver then. A chill of fear ran up his spine, Lenny wouldn’t actually shoot him,

  Would he?

“Lenny, Lenard my man you know I’m solid. I’m good, you know Jack Woods the jack of all trades. You want your money you got your money.” Jack rambled on.

“Five k, Jack. I want it now mutt.” Lenny said stiffly.

“Ouch mutt, I’ll have you know I’m a top pedigree.” Jack argued as the men then took aim bringing a chill of fear over him. “Err…Right, right five k. You see-” He was about to say some sort of excuse in hopes Lenny would believe him and let him go when Jack’s phone rang loudly in his jacket pocket, belting out the Smile song from My Little Pony. Everyone went quiet for a moment.

“Mind getting that for me love?” Jack asked. Lenny motioned to one of his goons who stepped over and reached into Jack’s jacket and answered before pressing the speaker button. “This is Jack speaking.” Jack answered

“Jack, where in the hell are you!?” Lexi asked sounding almost frantically. “There are people here looking for you, their tossing the place.” Jack looked up to Lenny.

“Are some of your guys a little out of the circle?” Lenny shook his head and narrowed his eyes but said nothing. “Listen Lexi; tell them I’m with a client.”

“I told them that!” Lexi hissed into the phone, “That’s when they started-” She was cut off and the line went dead. The room was quiet for a moment longer.
