Sterek ~ A Second Chance (Sequel to Last Breath) [COMPLETED]

8~Graduates

It was graduation day. (Everyone graduating is 17 at this point, just pretend the characters have had their birthdays)

5 months later

"It's graduation day, wake up" was the first thing Derek heard that morning, and add in the whole someone shaking his body to wake him up, it could only be one person

"Stiles" Derek whined burying his face into his pillow

"Come on, you gotta get up" Stiles said

"It's too early" Derek mumbled

"Fine" Stiles sighed, when Derek finally thought Stiles had gone he relaxed but that wasn't the case as someone put their leg over his back and lightly laid on him, planting soft kisses down his bare back

"Mhm" Derek said relaxing into the feeling

"Glad I got your attention, now get up" he said getting off of him, Derek felt the bed undip as Stiles stood up

"Every time" Derek said sitting up, he always fell for the morning back kisses. When he finally looked up he saw Stiles carrying Luca in his arms, gently weighing down on his hip "Stiles, it's 6:42, why is he awake?" Derek exclaimed referring to Luca

"He was awake when I came in" Stiles told the truth

"Okay then why are we awake it's far too early?" Derek asked

"I got exited, I couldn't sleep" Stiles said grabbing hold of Derek's arm with his free hand gently pulling his boyfriend off of the bed, which Derek obliged to

"You know we have a full day of school first before the ceremony don't you" Derek stated making sure Stiles knew as they made their way down the stairs

"Yes I do, but I'm still exited" Stiles said setting Luca down on the couch and put on his favourite TV show whilst Stiles went and made his milk

"How about we skip today, go out, spend some time together" Derek suggested

"We can't miss the last day" Stiles exclaimed shutting the fridge

"Why's that?" Derek asked leaning forward onto the breakfast bar that was between the kitchen and living room

"Because......um well you know..." Stiles stumbled over his words "Ahh, because we're never gonna have a last day of school ever again, plus what image are you showing Thomas, I mean he doesn't wanna go to school as it is, this'll just make it worse" Stiles said smiling, proud with what he came up with

"Fine" Derek said slowly making his way over to Stiles, Derek came in contact with Stiles' back as he wrapped his arms around Stiles' waist from behind

"What do you think you're doing?" Stiles asked as Derek planted his chin on Stiles' shoulder

"Taking in the moment" Derek sighed

"Well this moment in being cut short since your boyfriend is making your brother his food" Stiles said getting out of Derek's hold and handing Luca his bottle whilst he was watching TV

"It's milk Stiles" Derek stated the obvious

"It's the same thing" Stiles said walking back over to the kitchen "Now what do you want?"

The rest of the school day went by relatively fast and now everyone was at home getting ready for the ceremony that they have to be at in approximately 20 minutes

"Are you all ready? We're gonna be late" Melissa called up the stairs, everyone shortly came running down the stairs, Scott, Stiles and Derek all holding their cap and gowns in the plastic cover, Derek also holding Luca in his other arm "Come on, out, out, out...." she said ushering everyone out the door

They got there 15 minutes later, Derek got out of his car and Stiles got out of the passenger side, Thomas and Cora got out of the back

"Come on buddy" Derek said quietly whilst picking up his baby brother who had fell asleep on the short journey here "Shh, shh" he said as Luca stirred whilst Derek picked him up, his cheek lay gently on Derek's shoulder

When they had to be seated Derek handed Luca over to Melissa, her, Noah, Cora and Thomas along with the other students family all sat in the back whilst all the graduates were in the front.

"After today you will be in the real world, taking the next step to figuring out your future" the teacher on the stage said

Everyone's name was called individually, then they went up to get their diploma, and then they'd come sit back down. That was the order with it all happening to 98 kids.

"Students all rise" they all did as he said that "move your tassel from right to left, congratulations class of 2018, you are officially graduates" everyone cheered and threw their caps up into the air

"We did it" Stiles cheered turning to Derek

"We did" he replied taking hold of Stiles' cheeks and bringing him in for a kiss "I love you"

"I love you too"
