Title: Rain

Characters: Minhyuk and Reader

Summary: The rain falls and the memories decide to pour along with it.

Rain.

The pitter patter rang from every direction as it hit the roof above your head. The window you were gazing through was filled with raindrops that were sliding down to who knows where. You love the sight and the sound of rain. Well, you loved it. You loved the feel of the cold rain against your skin. You loved the reverberating sound of raindrops on your roof. You loved the calmness that it used to bring to you.

You loved the rain. You loved it so much. Never would you have considered that, one day, you'd be wishing for the rain to stop and just go away. Truth is, you just wanted all the memories associated with the rain to go away. You wanted it all to leave your mind. The memories you had-the memories you cherished and loved the most-are like rain. They keep falling on you. They keep washing over you, leaving you cold and drenched in pain.

The rain was something that you used to cherish along with him. It was your favorite weather despite the struggles that it brings. Rain was beautiful-it still is but not as much as before.

Rain reminded you of him. To be more specific, he was rain himself. With no warning, his presence just fell all over you. You were drenched in him-his words and his actions. He was the rain you loved-the calm rain that would wash over you.

Falling in the rain.

The words played in your head as you watched the rain through the window. It's been a while but you couldn't help wonder how he is now. Where could he be at the moment? Is he thinking about you too? Or has he forgotten you, just like what you promised each other when you parted ways?

The feelings and questions made you feel like you were free falling in the rain. There seems to be no stopping the emotions and thoughts. The only time they'd stop is when you've finally hit the ground-when you've finally snapped out of your thoughts.

As you watched, you couldn't help but see shadows of the past in your mind. You could see how you two danced under the rain. His laugh still sounds clear in your mind despite the time that passed. You couldn't help but lean your forehead against the cold window and close your eyes. You wanted to relive the moment despite the pain. You wanted to see him again; to hear him again.

"Come on," he laughed as he called your name. "It'll be fun!"

He was trying to get you to dance with him under the rain. It wasn't that strong that you would find both of yourselves down with a fever the following day. However, you weren't a fan of putting yourself vulnerable to the rain and to sickness.

"I'll just stay here and watch you," you unsurely replied.

He shook his head and grabbed your wrists.

"Minhyuk-!!!"

You felt the drops of rain hit the top of your head. Soon enough, your hair was patted down due to the water and your clothes were starting to stick onto your skin. A glare was directed towards the boy who was cutely smiling at you.

"It's not so bad, right?" He laughed as he moved his hands so that they would hold yours. "Right?"

You shrugged as your glare dropped, not wanting to admit that the rain felt good against your skin. You didn't want to admit that his hand felt warm despite the cool rain. "It's okay,"
