Chapter 6: Raining on Parades

I wake and it's only 6 after I do a little stretching and get out of bed and check on mom.

I cracked the door just enough to where I can see her but quiet enough to not wake her up.

She was still sleep snoring peacefully, nobody has tried to break in last night to take her.

I slowly closed her door and went to the kitchen to make something for breakfast but then I quickly remembered I can't cook.

That's charming I think to myself why would my soulmate want a girl that can't cook but can definitely kill him.

I found out who my current soulmate is yesterday during my fight with the Avengers.

Bucky Barnes are as most people know him as The Winter Soldier.

Now you may be wondering why I'm referring to Bucky as a current so let me explain.....

My marriage well be with a God there is no way around that. But I still have mortal soulmates and once Bucky dies I'll get another one.

I personally think the whole soul mate God mortal thing is so they have an excuse to make demigods.

And you can have demigod kids with other people who are not your soulmate but you just won't find love with that mortal.

Confusing and irritating right?

Yeah so anyway I decided to try and use my new powers to make breakfast  how hard can it be?

Hard it's super hard like pull your hair out in frustration hard.

I asked for a steak I got a rake and I still have no idea how that even happened. But what I do know is I hate rhyming words.

I just decided to settle for a pop tart sense it's rally hard to mess those up.

I took my pop tart on the couch and turned on a movie.

You've probably heard of it like who hasn't it was finding Nemo the best movie this world has seen.

And even though I was supposed to be watching the movie I kept dozing off. Keeping look out for Mom waiting on Apollo and also trying to watch a movie is exhausting.

To try and stay up I opened a one way iris message so I could see them and they couldn't see me.

"Bucky Barnes" I say to the mist.

He was in a meeting room but the other Avengers getting chewed out by Nick Fury oh this is going to be fun I thought to myself.

"I want her now!" Fury yelled. "She's a powerful asset that keeps slipping through your finger's."

"Well what do you expect us to do Sir?" Peter asked nicely. "When ever we come hard she comes back harder."

"Right." Agrees Tony. "This last time she even had a sidekick and she got the upper hand on Thor."

I started laughing uncontrollably wait till I tell Apollo shield and The Avengers think that he's my sidekick.

Personally I like to think of Apollo as my partner but you know sidekick works too.

"I'm not paid enough to solve all your problems for you." Fury says through gritted teeth gaining my attention." "You have about 4 geniuses and the God on this team figure it out."

Before he could storm out like the dramatic he was I made it rain on him and Vapor trailed a note to him.

I watched his soaking wet figure pick up the paper and read it out loud.

"It's not nice to rain on someones parade now you get to see how it feels PS You can never find me but you can try.....Melody."

The team began laughing way more than I thought was humanly possible and that upset him more.

"Find that girl!" He said storming out with the rain following him.

"That's the best thing I've seen all week." Peter says making everyone laugh.

"Yeah." Bucky says agreeing. "Even when she's not here she manages to surprise me."

"Yeah well as entertaining as that was we still have to find someone who specializes in not being found." Wanda says.

"And how do you expect us to do that?" Steve asks.

"I'm not sure.... but we can't give up." She says.

"Then let's not think of this as giving up let's think of this as taking a small break." Tony suggest.

"And what would Fury think?" Steve says in frustration.

"I don't know and I don't care that's your problem you care to much." Tony says rolling his eyes.

"You two better not start arguing." Natasha says glaring at the two boys. "Or I'll break my foot in your asses.... Are we clear or do you need a visual example?"

"No no we understand." Steve and Tony say at the same time before looking at watch other weirdly.

That's enough I think to myself before running my hand through the iris message.
