Ariana's POV
Ito nanaman tayo sa pag-iwas kay Jaxxon. Here I am again at school, two hours early for my first subject because I couldn't face Jaxxon yet after what happened last night. Damn myself for kissing him back.
It was so embarrassing last night in my part because after we kissed, I ran. I ran like a scared cat inside my house and slammed the door shut behind me. Ngayon hindi ko alam kung paano ko kakausapim si Jaxxon. I'm acting like its my first time kissing him! But it was the first time where I didn't even try pushing him away.
Napabuntong hininga nalang ako habang naglalakad patungong library. I'll probably just catch some sleep before my first subject. And hopefully when I wake up, I wouldnt remember any of it.
"Ang lalim naman 'non."
Nagulat ako nang may biglang magsalita sa tabi ko.
"Alexis." Sambit ko.
"Yes, it's me. I've been walking beside you for a good two minutes now but you never noticed me." Paliwanang nito.
"Bakit hindi ka nagsasalita?"
"I tried pero mukhang malalim yata ang iniisip mo."
Napatitig nalang ako sa gwapong mukha ni Alexis. Why can't Jaxxon be like this guy? Matino, hindi nasasangkot sa gulo at laging kalmado. Habang nakatitig ako kay Alexis ay naalala ko naman ang nagyari noong nakaraang araw sa parking lot.
"About the other day. You must've seen something in my neck..."
"I didn't see anything."
Napatingin ako dito at nakita kong nagsisinungaling ito. Imposibleng hindi niya nakita ang hickeys sa leeg ko. Pero nagkibit balikat nalang. At least this way, I don't have to explain that to him and it would be less awkward even though he was only pretending.
"Bakit nga pala ang aga mo? I'm surprise you're not with Arrow today." Sambit nito.
"I just like being early at school." I replied, deciding not to answer the question about Jaxxon. "Bakit ikaw? Ang aga mo din naman."
"Same reason." He smiled and followed me inside the library.
Alexis and I spent an hour sitting in the library and just talking about his career and reminiscing some memories back in high school when we were still very close to each other. Hindi ko nga akalaing magiging close ulit kami. Habang tumatagal ay dumadami na ang mga estudyante at halos hindi na namin namalayan ang oras.
"It's ten minutes before class, I should put these back." Sambit ko habang tumitingin sa relo ko at saka kinuha ang mga libro na hindi naman namin nabasa.
Alexis also took his own books and followed me to the shelves of books.
Napatigil ako nang pagharap ko ay nakatitig sa akin si Alexis like he was contemplating about something.
"Uhm... Riri. Would you like to go out with me sometime?" He asked.
"Huh?"
"Let's go out on a date."
Is Alexis King really asking me for a date? I'm surprise I'm not jumping in happiness.
"Well-"
Someone grabbed my wrist from behind yanking me away from Alexis.
"Fuck no!"
Paglingon ko sa likod ay tumambad ang galit na si Jaxxon na mahigpit ang hawak sa kamay ko.
