Chapter 1: Jaxxon Sparrow

Ariana's POV

"No!!" I exclaimed when the girl was going to grab the last copy of the magazine.

Nakuha ko ang atensyon ng babae at dali-dali akong tumakbo patungo sa kanya at inunahan siya sa pagkuha ng last copy ng magazine na gusto kong bilhin.

"Yes. I got you baby... Momma's here." I hugged the magazine lovingly while the girl glared at me.

"Excuse me miss pero ako nauna sayo diyan." Turo nito sa hawak kong magazine.

"But I touched it first. First touch first serve." Sagot ko.

Inirapan ako ng babae at akmang magsasalita pa pero inunahan ko siya

"Byeeee... Gonna pay for this now. Maiwan na kita." I waved the magazine and ran to the cashier to pay.

I may have sounded or acted a little bitchy but this is the last copy kung saan si Alexis King ang cover kaya naman gagawin ko ang lahat para makuha ito.

Let me introduce you to Alexis King. Wonder why he's in the cover? Duh! Of course he's a model and he attends the same college with me! We've known each other for eight years. High school pa ay close na kami at mula pa noon ay may gusto na ako sa kanya. Kaya lang ay hindi na kami masyadong nagkakasama simula nang magkolehiyo kami. And we're already in fourth year. Sa tingin ko nga ay nakalimutan na ako nito because there he is, being admired by many while here I am, someone who practically doesn't exist in his world.

Baka dahil sa naging sikat na siya. Girls are drooling over him including me. He's always sorrounded with famous students and I was left behind loving him from a far. Sino ba naman kasi ang hindi magkaka gusto sa kanya? He's a super hot model. He's also good in sports. One smile from him will make your knees go weak.

Mabait din siya and take note, he is also a gentleman. Yung tipong ibibigay niya ang jacket niya kapag nilalamig ka, tutulungan ka kapag nadapa ka, ipagtatanggol ka sa mga bullies. He does that with every girl kaya naman impossible talagang hindi ka mahulog ka charms niya.

Hindi naman siya artista, but you can always see him in commercials flexing those muscles and abs that made every girl go crazy. You can't always see him in weekdays dahil minsan may pictorials siya. Hanga nga ako sa kanya dahil napagsasabay niya ang studies at ang career niya.

"150 lang po, maam." Sambit ng cashier pero hindi ko siya napansin dahil busy pa ako sa pagd-day dream kay Alexis.

"Ano ba?! Magbabayad ka ba o hindi?!" Sigaw ng babae sa cashier na nakapukaw ng attensyon ko.

"Ito naman. Eto na oh. Yang 150 mo. Akala mo naman hindi magbabayad." Sumbat ko at naglabas ng dalawang daan.

"Sayo na yang sukli. Baka sakaling mabawasan pagka high blood mo." Sambit ko at kinuha na ang magazine na akmang isusupot pa nito. "Sungit."

Inirapan ako nito kaya naman inirapan ko din siya bago lumabas ng store.

I was humming in happiness while I made my way to the parking lot. Feel na feel ko pa ang pagpatak ng ulan sa mukha ko. I don't care if it's raining basta masaya ako.

"Aaahh!!" I screamed when someone bumped on me. Then everything was in a slow mo.

"No!!" I watched as my magazine slowly fall into the muddy ground and when it reached the mud I felt like crying. Ang gwapong mukha ni Alexis ay punong-puno na ng putik.

I gritted my teeth and ready to curse at the person who mindlessly bumped me but to my surprise, the guy was now walking away casually like he didn't see me.

My blood boiled and never wasted a second and grabbed the dirty magazine from the ground and throw it to the arrogant guy. I smirked when the magazine hit his head with a loud smack.

"Serves you right, jerk!!" I screamed at his back. The guy froze and slowly faced me.

Then it was my turn to freeze in my spot because to my bad luck, it was Jaxxon Sparrow. My eyes widened when he glared at me. If his stare could kill, I'd be dead by now, my body rotting six feet below the ground.

"What the hell are you doing?!" He roared, his voice echoed to the empty parking space. He was so scary that my knees are literally trembling from fear.

Dapat talaga nagsulat na ako ng last will ko. I should have told my mom I loved her so much kahit na lagi niya akong binabatukan. I should have confessed my love for Alexis. I think its my last day on earth.

Jaxxon Sparrow is covered with tattoos. He looked like a typical gangster but way too scarier than normal ones. His eyes were also captivating but they stare at you like it was reading your soul. They say, as long as you can, do not entangle yourself with him. Do not make a reason for him to notice you because once you get his interest, he won't never leave you until your life is a mess or maybe until you are begging him to end your life from misery.

How do I know him? Jaxxon also attends the same school. I was also amused that a guy like him still go to school. And every time he walks in the hallways, people would step aside to give him way like a royalty. He got that scary aura around him. Though he is very good looking, he somehow carries a dark aura with him. An aura that says run as soon as you set eyes on him.

And right now, Jaxxon is twenty meters away from me and is glaring at me like a predator. Like a bad boy he is.

"I-it j-just slipped." I answered stuttering, hands trembling.

"Come here." He commanded and gestured me to come closer to him. My heart drummed against my chest as I processed what he wanted me to do.

"M-me?" Turo ko sa sarili.

"Are you dumb?! I. Said. Come. Here." He ordered with authority.

I took deep breaths and took one step closer to him before I decided to turn back around and ran. I ran like my life depended on it. I ran faster when I heard him cursing.

Where did I parked my car again? I was relieved for a second when I found my car. I hurriedly snatched my keys from the pocket of my jeans and started the engine with shaky hands.

"Please please please, dont run after me." I said a silent prayer with tears in my eyes before driving like a criminal being chased by police. But the difference is that I've never done any crime and the person following me is almost a criminal himself.

What have I done wrong in my life to deserve this fate?
