Ragged breath burns in her lungs,
legs weak yet unable to stop,
fear accelerates her tired limbs,
to escape is her only thought.
Survival instinct overrides panic,
anger fuels her desire to live,
a glance behind takes her breath completely,
causing her legs to finally give.
