You may feel safe here in the daylight,
the sun your saviour from above.
For me the shadows are my haven,
dark recesses envelop me with love
So, as you wander through your day,
heart aglow with summers' warm embrace,
Know I await you, patiently,
within this dark and hellish place.
Do you know how much I want you?
I'm sure you saw me yesterday.
A fleeting glace in my direction,
before you quickly looked away.
There's plenty time for you to realise,
how much I truly yearn for you,
For when we finally do meet,
you'll bid your sunny days adieu.
Into my darkness I will take you,
along with everything you are.
You may despise but not resist me,
I'm the strongest addiction you've felt so far.
So as I wait here patiently,
in the shadows where I belong,
spend your final days there in the sun,
before I take you for my own.
