The (h/c) haired girl was walking through the streets of Japan, she wasn't from there but was there to look at potential high schools. She passed a middle school and coming from it was a green-haired boy. Although she knew it was rude to stare, she couldn't help but notice his down-hearted appearance and how tightly he was clenching his bags' straps.

As he walked passed, he muttered under his breath, "That jerk."

Thinking she had accidently bumped into him, she was about to apologize when-

"He can't just go around telling people to commit suicide."

Concerned, she began following the boy, wanting to make sure he wouldn't do anything.

He was heading towards the school's courtyard and began to speak again, "What if I actually did? What would he do then?"

The girl did not like where this conversation was headed and was about to speak up when the boy stopped in front a small fish pond.

He looked down and said, "My dreams have become fish food."

At that, despite the tense atmosphere, she couldn't help but release a little laugh. She quickly slapped a hand over her mouth, but it was too late, the boy heard.

"AHH! Who's there?!?!?" He screeched spinning around.

Stepping out of your hiding spot, you gave a sheepish grin, "Sorry."

Grabbing his notebook, he clutched it protectively against his chest and peeked over, "W-who are you? W-what do you want?"

You gave a bashful smile, "Um, well you see, funny story. I, uh, well, I thought you were going to commit suicide and wanted to stop you."

"E-eh? But why would you think that?" The green haired boy couldn't believe he was talking to such a pretty girl and for so long too!

"You were muttering something about a jerk who wanted you to kill yourself."

"O-oh? Y-you heard that?" He stammered, his adrenaline was fading, leaving him a blushing mess.

"Anyway, if you don't mind me asking, why was this asshole telling you that in the first place. You seem like a nice person," she continued.

"He was making fun of me, because...," the boy's loose hands became tight fists as he mentally decided whether he should tell you about him being quirkless.

Sensing his hesitation, which you can't blame him for, since you're a stranger, you told him, "It's okay, you don't have to tell me. I was just curi-"

"No! It's okay!" He blurted out, not wanting to hurt your feelings, but then he realized he interrupted you and began bowing, "Sorry! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt you!"

You smiled and put your hands up slightly, "No! No! It's okay!"

After he stopped apologizing, awkward silence filled the air.

You moved closer to him and sat on the edge of the fountain, "Sorry if I seemed to forward with wanting to know."

"No really it's okay. It's just... He was making fun of me...because....I...I want to be a hero," the greenette was disappointed in himself that he wouldn't tell you about his condition but he didn't want to loose his new friend.

"Well that's stupid."

It looked like a bolt of lightning struck through him, "Eh?!?!?"

"Wait no! Not your dreams being stupid! The fact that he's making fun of it!" You quickly fixed your mistake.
