I'd only recently become comfortable with stripping off outside the shower. I had always been very insecure about my body thanks to my horrible high school experience. But ever since I joined the pack and met my werewolf family, I had most definitely come out of my shell.

The masseuses started at our neck and shoulders, working all the really tense muscles.

"I'm really sorry if I hurt you Miss, I'm trying to avoid the wound on your neck."

I sighed. "Thank you." I mumbled sheepishly.

I tried forgetting about the mark and enjoyed the long treatment.

"Oooh next, we have a mud baths and facials!" Alina squealed.

We put on our robes and made our way to the huge tubs filled with a thick brown liquid.

"You girls are very lucky. You have this whole section to yourselves. I'll leave you to it." the assistant smiled, leaving us to our own devices.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's get this party started!" Alina said practically jumping into one of the tubs. I did so also, picking up the cucumbers on the tub ledge and placing them onto my eyes.

"Ahhhh. now that we are nice and relaxed, tell me what's going on with you and my brother."

"Alina... nothing is going on. Just drop it and enjoy your mud." I dismissed.

"Well that's not what the Alpha said." She sang.

"Julius said something? What? What did he say?" I asked nervously.

"Oh nothing. You said nothing was going on right?"

"Alina!" I whined.

"You already know how to make this bird sing."

My eyes were concealed by the cucumber but I could literally feel her smirking!

"It's just.. lots of things happened in Tenerife. It was a terrible experience. "

"So this affects your relationship with your boyfriend how?"

"I just....Ughhh! I've been avoiding him because I don't know what he thinks of me. I don't even know if he still wants me as his Luna."

"News flash. My brother loves you. None of that will change how he feels about you."

"You don't get it Alina. I have another wolf's mark on my neck. It must be embarrassing for him as an alpha to have a mate that has been claimed by somebody else. I'm used. And plus..."
I looked around to make sure there was no chance anybody else could here us.
"I'm pretty sure I killed Aaron AKA Jace."

"Estrella. You didn't have much choice. Julius has also been in your position many times. But it's always been for his pack and the ones he loved. After finding out that Alex was the one who took you, two things happened. 1, he was so upset and felt so guilty for not protecting you that his wolf side took over his body for 2 weeks. Maximus is obviously completely feral, which leads onto my second point. Having his wolf in control amplified his feelings and Maximus is ruthless especially when he's angry. His plan from the start was to kill Alex, Ada and Aaron by any means necessary and knowing that that wretched man and his children hurt you was enough for Maximus to kill him without a second thought."

I removed the cucumbers from my eyes,
Alina's revelations hitting me hard. I had no idea that any of that had happened.

She grabbed my hand, facing me.

"You need to tell him exactly what you've told me, including what happened to you in Punta de Teno. I promise you, Julius isn't planning to let you go, regardless of what has transpired. Promise me you will let him in."
