The next couple of moths were spent getting ready for this day. The Battle of the Last Clans. Your dad spent every moment with you preparing to fight against the vamp clan.

"Do you think you are ready for today," your dad asked you.

"I have to be ready. For Jennie and Michu. My family should be safe and protected."

"I have taught you well."

"Yes, you have. I just wish mom could be here fighting with us today."

"I do too. She will be here in spirit though. Watching over us."

"Yeah."

"Go talk to Jennie and Michu while I get the clan ready for battle."

"Okay," you said running off.

"Wait!"

"Yes dad?"

"Have you talked to Jennie?"

"About what father?"

"Will she be fighting today?"

"She said that she will."

"Who's side will she be on?"

"Our's."

"She is going up against her own clan?"

"Yes she is."

"You better keep her for as long as you can!"

"Trust me I will," you said running up the stairs.

Once you got up to your and Jennie's shared room you saw her chasing Michu around the room. In just a few months she was able to be up and running. Mixed babies grow up so fast.

"Come here little one," you said picking up a running Michu.

"Haha he/she got you," Jennie said tickling her feet.

Michu laughed and buried her head in your neck.

"How are you," Jennie asked pecking your lips.

"Better now. Are you almost ready for the battle?"

"I am ready. I have sharpened my fangs and everything!"

"Are you sure you want to fight?"

"You have asked me that same question everyday since we knew of the battle."

"I know, but I don't want you to go out there and get hurt or worse."

"I will be fine as long as I am by your side."

"Awww, Jennie is getting soft on me."

"Shut up," she said pushing you on the bed.

You gently lay a know sleeping Michu beside you on the bed.

"Yeah, Michu needs to come back with two parents," you said pulling Jennie onto your lap.

"And I promise you that she will, so stop worrying."

"Fine, okay. But are you sure you want to fight?"

"I have never been more sure."

You lay down beside Michu with Jennie lying on top of you.

"Can we not worry about the battle until it happens," Jennie asked.

"I just have a bad feeling about it. I just feel like something bad is going to happen."
