A Name And A Date

ALECS POV

"Wow. Riley, this is so beautiful." I said and looked stunned around. After we had breakfast and took a really long shower together he wanted to show me something. We took the car of my mum and he drove us here to this beautiful hall. "I hoped you would like it." He said and I turned around to face him. "But why do you show me it?" I asked him and he took my hands. "I thought we could celebrate our wedding here." He answered and I smiled brightly. "This would be so beautiful. How did you find it?" I asked him and he squeezed my hands. "When I was in the plane I talked with this guy and he said this would be a beautiful place to marry." Riley answered and I couldn't help it but kissed him softly. "You are the sweetest human being." I said when we pulled back and he blushed a little bit. "Just imagine you and me...dancing as husbands." He sighed happily and I pulled him close to me. "I will kiss you as my husband." I whispered and brushed our lips together. "I love you." He said softly and I smiled at him. "I love you too." I answered and he took my hand to led me in the middle of the hall. "So...the hall is free on the 12th August or on the 30th August." He said and I got huge eyes. "But this is already in 3 weeks." I said and he sighed. "I know but it looks so perfect and the hall is booked on every other day fo the next two years." He answered and I placed my hands on his cheeks. "Then we will take the date on the 30th August. I can't wait to marry you anyway." I said softly and he smiled brightly at me. "You're sure?" Riley asked me and placed his habds on my hand above his cheeks. "More than sure." I answered and it was true I couldn't wait to marry him. "So this is it? We have a date and a place?" He asked and I nodded happily. "Yeah, I guess so." I answered and kissed the tip of his nose which made him chuckle. "Good, I will go and tell the girl on the rezeption. You can go to the car or come with me." He said and I took his hand. "Hmm...I'll go with you." I answered and we walked to the rezeption. It felt crazy that we would marry in 3 weeks and it made me really happy but at the same time it made me feel scared a little. I didn't know why I was a bit scared but I guessed this was normal. We booked the hall on the 30th August and went back to the car. "What should me do now? It's 12am and we have a lot of time left till the dinner." He said and started the car. "Well...maybe we could visit Magnus." I suggested because I really wanted to talk with him and catch up. Maybe I also forced myself a little to see him to make sure I felt nothing for him in another way than a friend. "Yeah sure. We could go to the bakery and take something with us for coffe, maybe." He answered and smiled at me. I was happy that Riley was okay that I wanted to meet Magnus...why wouldn't he be okay with that. He knew I and Magnus had something but this was a long time ago and I loved Riley now. "That's great let me just ask Izzy were he lives now. I guess he doesn't live with his mum anymore." I chuckled and took out my phone to text Izzy. "Okay now right." I showed Riley the way and we drove to Magnus after we bought a few things in the bakery down the street. When we reached the house I was surprised because it wasn't really Magnus like. I imagined something big and with a bit more...well just a bit more everything but this was a small white house with a nice garden. I got out of the car and looked at it for a few seconds when I felt Riley taking my hand. "Ready?" He asked me and I nodded. "Yeah." I answered and smiled at him before we walked to the front door. I saw Magnus car and Izzy told me on the phone that he took a day off for Vici. I knew I shouldn't ruin their time but I just wanted to see him again and he wouldn't be mad at me anyway. I rang the door bell and heard a loud voice yelling. "I'm coming." I knew it was Magnus. He opned the door and was a little suprised to see my face but he smiled quickly. "Alexander, Riely, come in." He said softly and stepped aside to let us in.

MAGNUS POV

"You know that I could just walk to the couch?" Vici chuckled when I lifted her up from the bed. "No. The doctor said you need to lay down for 48 hours which means no walking at all." I answered and carried her to the livingroom. She told me she would get depressed from just laying in the bed and I could understand her. "You are the best, Mags." She said when I laid her down and kissed her forehead. "I love you." I said softly and lifted her feet up to place them on my lap after I sat down. "What should we do on your birthday?" She asked me and I shrugged. "We could go out and have dinner." I answered and started to massage her feet. "Yeah. Why don't we invite Alec and Riley? I would like to see them again." She said and I smiled at her. "Yeah sounds great." I answered and lifted her left foot to place a kiss on it. "Oh Mags, you are too cute." She chuckled and when I was about to say something the door rang and I sighed. "I'll be right back." I said and stood up. I walked to our front door and yelled that I'm coming. When I opened the door I was a little bit annoyed that someone interrupted my time with Vici but when I saw who it was I was more happy. "Alexander, Riley. Come in." I said and stepped aside to let them in. I was really surprised that Alec was here with Riley and I let them in. "What are you doing here?" I asked them and showed them were to put their jackets. I watched how Riley helped Alec to take off his jacket and to be honest I wanted to do that but I couldn't. "Riley showed me something and we thought it would be nice to visit you in your new home." Alec answered and I started to chuckle. "It isn't really new for me. I live here for 4 years now." I answered and somehow Alec expression was a little bit sad. I didn't know why but he looked a little bit sad at me after that. "Oh, I didn't know. It looks really beautiful." He answered and smiled at me. "Hey, yeah Alexander is right you have a beautiful home." Riley suddenly said and to be honest right now I wanted to punch him. No one could call Alec Alexander besides me but I guess this time was over. "We thought we could drink a coffee and eat that." Alec said and held the backery bag in the air. "Yeah, I would like that. Follow me." I said and guided them to my kitchen. "Mags, who is here?" I heard Victoria yelling and a wave of guilt hit me. In the moment I saw Alec I totally forget about Vici or our baby and I had only one thought...Alec. "Alec and Riley. I'll bring you a tea. They brought a few things from the backery." I yelled back and saw Alecs frowning. "Why isn't she coming?" He asked and I let out a long sigh before I turned on the coffee machine. "It's a long story. I'll tell you later." I answered with a weak smile ans Alec came closer to me. "Magnus, is everything okay?" He asked me and another long sigh escaped my lips. "Well...not really...no." I finally said and Alecs expression changed from a suportive smile to a worried look. "What is wrong? You know you can always talk to me." He said and I nodded. "We were at the doctor yesterday and they found something on the babys heart. We made a test to make sure the baby was okay but the test has a risk. Vici has to rest for 48 hours and in these 48 hours there is a possibility for us to lose our baby." I just let it out and it felt good to talk about this with someone else than Vic. "Oh my...Magnus, I am so sorry." Alec said with a shocked face and wrapped his arms around me. I saw Riley who was watching us with a little smile and I just let Alec hug me. I needed that comfort now and who could comfort me better than my best friend. "I am sure everything will be okay." Alec said and let go of me but I didn't want him to let go of me because it felt so good in his arms. "Yeah. I hope so." I sighed and handed Riley a mug with coffee. "Thanks." He said and I gave Alec the other one. "We can eat in the livingroom. Vici would be happy to get distracted a little bit." I said and we walked to Vici. "Hey." Alec said with a bright smile when he walked inside the livingroom and Vici wanted to sit up but I shot her a waring look and she stayed. "Hey you two. What brings you here?"
She asked and I smiled while I sat down on the couch. Riley and Alec sat down on the other couch and tangled their hands. "We just wanted to say hello." Riley answered and smiled at Vici. "How nice of you. I am happy to see you again." Vici smiled and took a sip of her tea. "So how is our little gummibear doing?" Alec asked and Vic placed a hand on her stomach. "It's really active right now but we wanted to tell you something." Vici suddenly said and I looked at her confused. "What do we need to tell them?" I asked her and Alec chuckled. "About the names. Do you want to tell him or should I do it?" She asked and I smiled brightly at Alec. "I totally forgot. Well we thought about the names for our baby and if it is a boy we will call it after you...Gideon." I told him excitedly and I saw that his eyes got glassy. "My...you want to...Magnus, wow this is so...thank you." He couldn't even talk properly and Riley smiled at him. I wasn't suprised when a little tear ran down his cheeks because Alec had always been an emotional person and it was what I loved about him. Riley made and aww noise and quickly whipped the tear away with his thumb. He placed his hand on Alecs cheek and kissed him softly. In that moment I wanted nothing more than doing the same but I couldn't. I had no clue why I even wanted to do that Alec was a friend nothing more, right? "Please don't cry, babe." Riley said softly and placed the hand on Alecs thight. "I am sorry. I am just so happy to hear that so what is the girl name?" He asked me and I smiled at him because I knew it would make him cry too. "Elizabeth." I answered and he looked with a smile at me. "Like your grandma?" He asked and I nodded. We loved my Grandma and she was always cooking for us when we wer kids. It hurt both of us when she died when we were 10. I and Vici had names for our baby and what I didn't know there was that Alec and Riley had a date for something really big...for something that would break my heart but I didn't know it yet...
