I'll Keep You Safe

                ALECS POV

"Thanks for picking me up." I said when we stood in front of the front door of my old home. "No need to thank me Alexander, I'm really happy that you are back." Magnus answered and smiled at me. "But I have to thank you since you didn't know I would be there too." Riley said and I thought it was cute of him to be so friendly. "You don't have to thank me either. You are Alecs boyfriend and this makes you to my friend so please don't thank me for this. I should thank you for making him so happy." Magnus answered and I smiled at him. He was right I should thank Riley too for making me so happy and I was glad he and Magnus came along with each other. "Mags, we should leave. We have a meeting with the doctor." Victoria said and Magnus smiled at her confused. "So late?" He asked and Victoria nodded with a smile. "Yeah. Remember we wanted it so late because we thought you have a meeting today but you cancled it for Alec." She answered and I looked at him. "You didn't have to do that." I said a bit guilty but he chuckled only. "No worries. Izzy took over." He answered and I nodded with a smile. "Okay, well then. See you tomorrow for the family dinner." Magnus said and he and Victoria walked to the car again. "Magnus is a really nice guy. I really like him." Riley said to me and I was really happy to hear that. I was a bit scared that Riley wouldn't like him for what he did 5 years ago but once again I had to remind myself that it was Riley. "I am really happy to hear that." I said softly and he looked in my eyes for a few seconds before he kissed me softly. "I'm nervous." He sighed and I placed my hands on his shoulders. "No need to be. My mum will love you...how couldn't she?" I chuckled and he smiled nervously at me again. This time I couldn't ignore it and I frowned a bit. "Why are you smiling so nervouse again?" I asked him and he looked at me confused. "What?" He asked and I took a deep breath. "You smile so nervouse...you did that in the car too." I answered and he had tears in his eyes suddenly. "Mum...she is so scared. I don't know what to do anymore. I told her she can go to our place since we have a good alarm system. I don't know anymore what to do." Riley confessed and I felt terrible for not noticing earlier how miserable he felt. "Oh my...hey. We will figure that out. Why don't you call her? She can come here too." I said and wrapped my hands around his neck. "No. You know that she doesn't like to go by plane. I will call Cate. She will look after her." Riley answered and I nodded. "Babe, you have to tell me these things. Don't hide them from me." I said softly and he nodded with a guilty look. "I know but...I don't want to bother you and you were so happy that you could see Magnus again. I didn't want to ruin it." Riley answered and I smiled weakly at him. "You are my fiance. Whatever bothers you bothers me too. I can't see you suffering." I said and he smiled weakly back. "I love you." He mumbled and I hugged him tightly. "It will be okay. He won't hurt her. She is save." I asured him but I knew he was still really worried about his mother and I understood him. "Well...we should say hello, I guess." He said nervousely when we pulled back from the hug. "Yeah." I answered and knocked at the front door. It was a bit weird because I wasn't there for 5 years and now I stood here. I heard loud steps and was a bit confused because these steps were defently from a man. My jaw dropped when I saw it was Luke and he wore a pyjama. "L...Luke?" I asked totally suprised and he looked back with big eyes. "Alec." He answered and Riley looked at both of us really confused. "Alec." My mum said and rushed to the door. "Mum." I said and my mum hugged me tightly. "You have to be Riley." She smiled and totally ignored the fact that Luke was standing there. "Yeah, it's nice to meet you Mrs. Lightwood." Riley said and my mum chuckled before she hugged him. "Please call me Maryse or Mrs. Graymark." She chuckled and I thought I heard wrong. "Gr..like Luke?" I asked stuttering and she pulled back from the hug. "Oh Alec, we should talk. Come in and I will explain you everything." My mum chuckled and I was confused as hell. "What the hell." I mumbled quietly and walked inside. Riley followed me and we placed our suitcases in the hallway. "Look she loves you already." I said softly and helped Riley to get a ride of his jaket. "I hope so." Riley said nervously and I took his hand to lead him to the kitchen. I inheald the sense of home deely and smiled because everything looked like it used to look. I looked at Riley and saw that he was pretty exhausted because he had dark circles under his eyes. "Coffe?" My mum asked and I looked at her with a smile. "Mum, Riley had a really rough day. I think he should rest." I answered and Riley looked at me. "It's really okay, a coffe would be nice." Riley disagreed with me and my mum smiled nodding. "Babe, if you are tired you should really sleep." I said softly and he kissed my cheek. "Don't worry. I'll be fine." He answered and sat down on a kitchen chair. I sat down next to him and after a few minutes Luke came in still with a pyjama. "This is weird. You have to tell me now what is going on." I sighed and my mum smiled at Luke who grinned back at me. "Well...you know I and Luke dated." My mother started and I nodded with a little smile. "I know. You and Luke came closer after Jocilyne died 4 years ago."   I answered and Luke had a sad Luke on his face but when he looked at my mum he smiled again. "Yeah and well a year ago Luke moved in." My mum told me and I smiled but was also a bit sad because it happned a year ago and I didn't know. "Oh. That's great." Riley said with a happy smile and Luke smiled at him. "Yeah. She makes me really happy." Luke said and tangled his hand with my mums on the table. When I looked at my mums hand I thought I saw a ghost but actually it was just a ring. "Mum? Oh my...when?" I asked and grabbed her hand to look at with huge eyes. My mum chuckled and Riley laughed too because of my action. "Last week." She answered and I couldn't stop to smile. I was so happy that she found someone again and didn't stay alone for the rest of her life. "It looks amazing, Mr. Graymark." Riley said with a smile and Luke started to laugh. "Please, call me Luke.  I feel so old if you call me Mr." Luke chuckled and Riley nodded with a smile. I knew all the worries of Riley were useless and my famile would love him. I heard the front door opening and heard how someone with highheels walked to the kitchen. "Alec." My sister yelled and I stood up to hug her tightly. "Hey, Izzy." I said and felt a few tears through my shirt. "I missed you so much." She sniffed and I kissed her hair. "I missed you too." I answered and pulled back from the hug. Riley stood up and walked closer to me and my sister. "Hey, I'm..." "You are Riley I know." Izzy interupted him and pulled him in for a hug. "I saw your pictures on Instagram." She chuckled and let go of Riley. "I'm Izzy, Alecs..." "Alecs sister." Now Riley interrupted her and I smiled happily. "Yeah." She chuckled and whipped her tears away. "I am really happy to meet you, finally." She said and Riley nodded with his beautiful smile. We all wanted to sit down when I saw Rileys long yawing and that was it. "Okay, bedtime...now." I said and he smiled at me confused. "You are really tired I know. Mum, I need to bring him to bed and we can talk tomorrow, I guss?" I asked with a smile and my mum nodded with her bright smile. "Sure. Riley, it was really nice to meet you and we will see each other for breakfast." She answered and I nodded with a smile. "Thank you, Maryse. It was my plessure to meet you." Riley said softly and Izzy just smirked at me. "Good night everyone." I said and took the hand of Riley. "Good night." Everyone yelled after us and I dragged Riley up the stairs to my old room. I was a bit scared to open it but when I did I smiled because everything looked like I left it. There was not a single thing she changed in the last few years. "Welcome in my room." I said and Riley chuckled softly. "I get us two cloths to sleep. You can go to the bathroom and brush your teeth. There should be a spare thoothbrush in the drawer over the sink." I explained and he nodded then he walked to the door. "Uhm...that's the door to the dressingroom." I chuckled and he laughed too. "Alexander, your room is so huge." He sighed and finally walked to the right door. "Maybe we should take a shower." I yelled and he sneaked his head back in my room. "Yeah, come but leave your cloths outside." He chuckled and I rolled my eyes. "I'll be there in a few seconds you can already go inside it." I said and he dissapeared again in the bathroom. I walked to the bathroom after I took some boxers from the closet and twoels. I freed myself from my cloths and stepped under the water. I wrapped my hands around Riley from behind and he lead with his back against my chest while he sighed happily. "Can we please stay here forever?" He asked me and I smiled sadly. "No but don't worry. We will figure that out. He won't hurt you or your mum ever again, I promise." I asured him and he tured around to look at me. His eyes were so sad and he even had a little bit fear in his cristal blue eyes. "I hope so." He answered and placed his hands around my back. "I  love you." I said softly and he kissed me. "Let me wash you." I chuckled and started to wash his chest with a sponge. "Thank you." He suddenly said and I looked at him confused. "Why do you say thank you?" I asked him and he smiled. "For not getting bored of me. For listing to my shitty stuff...for everything." He answered and I cupped his face with my hands. "I love you and I would never get bored of you. We are engaged and your problems are my problems." I answered softly and pressed a soft kiss on his lips.
 We went out of the shower after 15 minutes and dried each other quickly. I laid down on my bed and he quickly craweled under the sheets to me. "I keep you safe." I told him and he turned around to face me. "I know." He answered and I kissed his forehead.  "Good night my fiance." I whispered and wrapped my arms around his body like I wanted to protect him. "Good night my fiance." He mumbled sleepily and after a few minutes we both fall asleep in each other arms.
