As We drive to Archie's I can't help but to let a tear fall.

"Everything will be fine Princess." Sweetpea says quietly as I barrie my face into his back.

"I really hope your right Sweets." I says as we arrive at Archie's.

"You guys. An head home. I'll stay with Mariah and Jug." Sweets says. 

"Are you sure man this is the northside. Anything could happen." Fangs says

"Fangs is right Sweets if anyone's sees you out here they can call the cops and then you will get taken into the station and If Reggie sees you who's to say he won't try to hurt you." I say

"I'll be fine."

"No you won't be Sweets. He could kill you and he would probably get away with it and that's not just because he lives in the northside of town because he's psycho who would do anything to get me back. Even if that means killing. I don't want to see you hurt."

"Why do you at that?"

"Say what?" I ask in confusion

"Why do you always tell me that you don't want to see me hurt. You said it at the diner when Reggie left because I was going to go after him and now you say it here."

"Because I don't want to see you hurt. I don't want to see anyone of you hurt especially because of Reggie."

"Why though?"

"Because...."

"Because?"

"Because I... it's like Fangs said the serpent protect their own and that exactly what I'm going to do. I'm not just going to stand around and lest someone hurt you Sweets. I protect the people I l....care about. Your one of them."

"Why? Why am I...."

"Sweets,stop questioning her. It's not like she did something wrong." Toni says

"Sorry Princess."  Sweetpea says as he scratches the back of his neck

"It's ok. We should head in." I say as Jug and I walk to the door and knock. After a minute Archie comes to the door.

"Jughead, Mari? What are you too doing here?" Archie asks

"I know it's late but, we need to talk to you and your dad about something."

"It's fine Mari. come on in." Archie says as he let us inside.

"Archie can.... Mariah, Jug. What are you doing  here? Is everything alright?"

"No...." I say as I look down.

"What's going on?" Fred asks

"Our dads in Jail." Jug says

"What? Why?" Fred asks

"For apparently selling a street drug known as Jingle Jangle." I say as a tear rolls down my cheek.

"With everything that's happened with Reggie and Betty and now this. How are you holding up Mari?"

"As well as I can Arch." I say with a sad smile as Fred pulls me into a hug"

" you know if you need anything you can always come to me. As long as I and Archie live you will always have a place to stay."

"Thank you Mr. Andrews." Jug say.

"Did they find him with the drugs on him?" Fred asks

"No an anonymous person called in and they threw him in a holding cell." I say

"Do they have any proof?" Fred asks

"No they don't."

"Do you know who would accuse your dad of something like this?"

"We have a suspicion but, we're not sure." Jug says

"Who do you think it could be?" Archie asks

"Reggie"

"Do you think Reggie would do something like that?" Archie asks

"The kid is a bit in the crazy side. So with the right motives he could." Fred says

"But, why would he do that."

"Because he saw me hanging out with Sweetpea early today at Pop's."

"We're you two on a date?" Archie asks as he balls his fists.

"No we met up as friends." I explain

"O...ok." Archie says calming down

"How are you holding up Jug." Fred asks

"I'm angry and confused but, I'll be ok."

"Are you sure?" Fred asks

"Yeah."

"Mariah, how bout you?"

"I....I want my dad." I say as Fred pulls me into his arms and holds me as I cry into his chest"

"Shhhhh....hun. Everything will be alright. Your dad is the strongest person I know that When he comes home he will come with open arms." Fred says

"I know." I say with a sigh as I hear Sweets shouting from outside...
