"Archie?"

"Hey."

"What are you doing here?"

"You left her scarf at the my place." Archie says as he hands it to me.

"Oh. Thanks." I says as dad drives up

"Archie. What are you doing here."

"Just came to give something to Mariah."

"Ok. Toni can you help me bring these groceries in."

"Sure king." Toni says as she takes a bag and heads inside

"Do you think V is going to take Betty's side?"

"No because I have it on record. Even if Ronnie is mad that you canceled. She will be madder at Betty for saying those things to you. Archie says

"Yeah your right."

"I better get going see you two Monday." Archie says before hoping into his pick up and drives home.

"Well that was nice of Arch." I say with a smile

Yeah it is. Let's head inside." Jug says as we go into the kitchen and help dad with dinner

"Hey Pumpkin?"

"Yeah dad." I says as I wash the vegetables.

" What do you think of Sweetpea?"

"He's nice. Why?" I ask as I look over my shoulder to see Toni smirking at me.

"Just wondering. You two seem to be close."

"Oh...."

"You know he offered to show you around Southside high and take you to your classes."

"That's nice of him." His says as I cut the vegetables for the salad

"If you want I can do the same for Jug."

" Sure Toni." Jug says with a smile

"So, are you giving Sweetpea the ok to show me around Tuesday?"

"I told him I'll talk to him about it tomorrow."

"Ok." I say as I finish the salad.

" Oh my way back I saw Betty. Did something happened?" Dad asks

"Yeah.... she first calls you a criminal than she told me I'm a slut. All because I canceled the girls night we were supposed to have because I don't want to deal with her and instead I invited Toni over. Oh and that's not all she hated Sweets and Fangs because their serpent and she told me that I would better off with a Reggie than I would be if I was with Sweets. She rather see me beaten up then talk to a serpent...."

"That girl is messed up." Dad says

"Yeah she is." Toni says

"Well guess what I am a serpent. I consider myself more Southsider than anything else and proud to be one. We're not fake princesses that think they're high and mighty."

"You really are my daughter." Dad says with a smile

"Yeah I am."

"Mariah, you never liked northside high did you?"

"Not really. I always felt out of place.... Hey T?" I ask as we seat at the table

"Want to give me a make over."

"Sure but, why?" Toni asks

"I'm not a northsider and I definitely don't want to look like one when I go to Southside high."

"Are we going to like this make over?" Jug asks as he looks at our dad

"I thinks it's time that your sister showed her true scales." Dad says with a smile as we eat as soon as we finish eating I put my plate in the sink and start to walk to my room

"Mariah it's your night to do the dishes." Dad says

" I did them last night it Jugs day."

"Pumpkin...."

"Fine but, your washing Jug." I say as I help out before heading to my room with Toni.....
