Mario turned around to see Lightning has fainted. He quickly rushes over to her. "Lightning, wakey wakey!!" Mario nudges her. Lightning opened her eyes groggily. "W-what happened?" She asked, slowly getting up to her paws with Mario's help.
"This Raichu attacked us" Mario answered. "A Raichu?" Lightning said, until she remembered, "Audra!!! My evil older sister!!"
"That was your older sister?" Mario asked. Yes, She envies me and wants to kill me." Lightning answered. "That's terrible!" Mario replied. "It is! But where is she now?" Lightning asked. "Oh, I defeated her" Mario said. "You did? That's amazing! Thank you for being there to help me."

"Oh it's no trouble at all. We're glad to help" Mario said. Suddenly Lightning remembered something. "Mario?" "Yes, Lightning?" "Where's Luigi?" Lightning asked. Mario remembered him too. "Luigi! Hey, Luigi, where are you?!" He called.
Suddenly, they heard moaning behind them. They turned around to see Luigi, struggling to move. "Luigi!!" Mario ran towards him. "M-Mario, I-I can't move" he whined. "What do you mean you can't move?" Mario asked. "He's been paralyzed from Audra's Thunderbolt." Lightning explained. "Paralyzed? You mean my brother won't be able to walk?" Mario asked. "Correct" Lightning answered. "Unless, we give him a Cheri Berry." A Cheri berry? What is that?" Mario asked. "It's a kind of berry that cures paralysis" Lightning explained. "It just so happens that I have one with me. I always carry one if I run into my sister in case she paralyzes me."
Lightning hands over the cherry-like berry to Luigi, but he refuses. "What's wrong, Luigi? You have to take this or you won't feel better" Lightning said. "I-it belongs to you. What if you need it?" Luigi asked. "Don't worry, I'll find another one" Lightning answered. "You need it more than I do right now." "O-okay" Luigi took the berry from Lightning and cured from paralyzes. "Thanks!" Luigi replied, standing up. "No problem" Lightning said. "Come on, we need to keep moving." Mario and Luigi followed Lightning until Luigi caught sight of a folded pink paper on the ground where pieces of a rock that Lightning hit was. "What's this?"

He walked towards the paper. Lightning knew exactly what it was. "No, Luigi wait!!" She called, but it was too late. Luigi has already unfolded the pink slip to see what it was. He gasped as soon as he found out what it was. Luigi turned to Lightning and said, "you were fired from your job and you didn't even tell us!"
"I'm sorry, I just didn't want you guys to feel guilty about it" Lightning replied.
Mario sighed. "This wouldn't have happened to you if we just surrendered."
"No Mario, don't think that. I didn't want this to happen. You guys are my friends, I don't want to lose you" Lightning said.
"Well friends don't lie and keep secrets from each other!!" Luigi snapped.
"Luigi, take it easy" Mario said, but he ignored him.
Lightning looked at him with sullen eyes. "I-I'm sorry."
"We didn't want you to lose your job, Lightning. It would have been better if we just split up after we defeated King Boo" Luigi said.
"No, I wanted to help you guys. Besides we teamed up because we were going after the same thing. I want to save my friends from Yveltal and you want to save that Sylveon. It's better that we work together instead of by ourselves. Yveltal would easily turn you to stone if we weren't there for each other to look for the Tree of Life."
"Mario and I could've done it ourselves. We're heroes in our world, it shouldn't be that hard to save this one without you! At least you'd still have your job because the Starter Squad wouldn't have known anything about you helping us" Luigi said. "This was all our fault."
Lightning began to cry. "If you want to save this world on your own then go ahead!!" She turned and ran off from them.
"L-Lightning? Wait don't go!! Oh, I shouldn't have been so hard on her" Luigi sighed.
"Come on Luigi!" Mario cried as they ran after her.

Lightning ran as fast as she could through the forest from the brothers until a shadow of a tree grew bigger and appeared to be a Gengar blocking her way. "Ah... If it isn't the pesky Pikachu!" The Gengar said. "I told you I'd be back!!"
"It's you!!" Lightning gasped. She made a battle stance as sparks came out of her cheeks.
"Oh, I wouldn't attack me if I were you" King Boo said.
"Or else what?" Lightning asked.
"I doubt you'd want me to hurt your friends, right?" King Boo smirked.
Lightning's cheeks stopped spitting sparks. "What do you want?"
"Oh, nothing much... Except you coming with me" King Boo cackled. He grabbed her as Lightning screamed, "help me!!!"
Mario and Luigi heard her cries of help and rushed to King Boo and Lightning. They gasped at the sight of King Boo holding her.
"Mario!! Luigi!! Help me!!" She cried before King Boo disappeared with her.
"No, Lightning!!!" Mario and Luigi cried.
