Marissa

My mom was still on tour , and I was still home by myself . So I decided to clean the house and blast music . I started upstairs and cleaned out my mom's room , the guest room and Kaylee room when I heard the bell rang downstairs . I was not dressed appropriate for company , I was still in my bra and some boy shorts . Hopefully it's my brother coming to get me , I'm tired of being in this house with nothing to do . The house was pretty much clean , I walked down the stairs wrapped in my robe .

There wasn't anyone in view all I seen was flowers , This had to be Lucci trying to win me back and shit . I opened the door and seen someone I wasn't expecting to see . Ashton was the last person I wanted to see right now . He must've found out I was back in new York , Which I don't know how I blocked him on all social media . " What do you want ashton? " I said holding on to the knob just in case I have to close this door in his bitch as face .

" C'mon Marissa you know I love you " he said and I didn't believe not one word that just came out his mouth , Ashton was an OLD boyfriend I met in Harlem he was always in and out of jail .. me and him broke up when he decided to put his hands on me and when I called the cops and pressed charges he disappeared .

" Why are you here and how did you know I was here ? " I said backing up , I know what Ashton is capable of and when he put his hands on me the last time I had to hide my black eye for almost 2 weeks .

" I know we left of on a bad page , so just wanted to talk to you and bring you something nice " he said

" I'm good " I said and swung the door closed but he caught it with his foot , I tried to run upstairs but he caught me by my ankle and dragged me by my foot . He covered my mouth with his hand and put handcuffs around them , I watched him reach in hus pockets and pulled out tape and covered my mouth . He then walked over to the door and locked it .

All I could think was why would I open that door , and why didn't I hurry and call 911 when I seen him at that front door . He walked over to me and put me over his shoulders as we walked up the stairs , We entered my mom's room and he slammed me in the bed . I only had on my robe , He pulled apart my robe and I Kicked him right in his dick . He fell to the ground squirming , I ran out the room and quickly ran down the stairs . I had no balance which made me trio on my foot , He was standing at the top of the stairs . I hurried and got up , I realized running out the back door wouldn't be a great idea .

Our back yard has slide in doors , He was always coming down the stairs so I ran over to the slide doors and opened it . This was my only way to get out , I had to run around the yard to get in the front . Once I got in the front I began to yell from the top of my lungs " HELP ! ... he's tryna kill me  " , I ran into the street and suddenly everything went black .

Me and Karin was in the hospital all night with jasmine , It was unreal how Jason got shot up like that .. But I know he'll pull through and when he get out it's gon be hell in these streets . I ain't get to see who was shooting cause the niggas had a black ski masks and was in a jet black van . I'll hit up my sources and find out who exactly it was ! I hit up my nigga gee to see if he could find out if anybody new came to the hood looking unfamiliar . He ain't hit me back but I know when he does he'll have some info to tell .

I was looking into to my contacts to find out who else I could hit up when the doctor came out , " Are you the family of Jason ? " He said and we all shook our heads yes . " Well he just got out of surgery and he's doing good , He's hooked up to alot of tubes and taking blood but he wanted to see a specific person .. uh Jasmine ? " He said and I looked over at Jasmine , She looked like she was going thru it . Like Her hair was all fucked up and she had bags under her eyes , She was there with his mom and brother . I was surprised Jason wanted to see Jasmine instead if his mom or brother .

She went back and Karin rested her head on my shoulder " you good bae " she said wrapping her arms around me . " Yeah , you good ? " I said looking down at her . " This is devastating , I know Jasmine is hurt " she said and I agreed . After everything she's been through my bro Jay was the best thing that came into her life and for her to see him like that was crazy .

" Rush her to the back , She's not breathing " I heard nurses saying as i seen a then push someone to the back  . I looked over and seen Ashton my sister's old boyfriend walking in . Me and Karin immediately got up , " Yo wassup " I said dapping him up . He had a look on his face and I knew something wasn't right . Before I couldn't even ask him any question he ran off out the hospital , " Karin wtf ? " I said and she walked up to the desk . " Jessica .. who just came in the hospital " she asked , Jessica was a friend if mine way back she used to be with my bro and she always came around so we became cool . " Dave's what's ya last name ? " She asked .  " Brewster " I said praying that my sister was not in this hospital ..

" Marissa Brewster ? Yeah she's here " she said and then I seen cops walk up to the desk next to us . 

" We need for you to contact any family members " he said .

" I'm her brother , His this is her sister in law .. what's the problem sir ? " I said confused on to why my sister is in the hospital . He pulled us to the side .

" Your sister was hit by a truck today and when we pulled up to the scene she was handcuffs with plastic and we trailed back to the house and seen that someone had broken in , So most likely she was trying to escape from someone who broken into the house .. would you know who would wanna break into the house " he asked and my mind immediately trailed to Ashton .

" Her ex boyfriend ashton , and she was staying at my mothers house .. there's surveillance cameras all around the house " I said , At this moment and time I ain't wanna hear nothing else these cops had to tell me .. I'll handle this myself . I gave Karin a kiss and whispered in her ear " go check on Marissa , I love you " I said and walked away and put on my hoodie .

I don't play when it comes to the people in close to , Especially my sister ? After all we've been through traveling from different foster homes and now having parents . I'm the only person she got besides Monica and ima make sure she's ok . I got into my car a sped down the highway , I had Hennessy in my passenger seat floor .. I started to take sips soon before you knew it I drunk the whole bottle .

If Karin was to know I was drinking and driving she'd be upset like crazy but she already know it's drill time and that nigga ashton thought I was gon let him get away with this shit . I arrived to my mom's house almost 30 minutes later , There was blood on the highway and that made me even more man . I grabbed my gun from out the glove compartment and tucked it in my pants . The door was open , I walked in slowly and turned on all the lights .

I went upstairs to my moms room , Her closet had a surveillance camera set up and I seen everything that happened from the front of the house all the way into the door way of Marissa's room . This nigga ashton think he gon get away with this shit putting his hands on my sister . I took out the flash drive and began to walk down the stairs when my nigga Gee called me , " Wassup " I said walking out the door and locking it .

" There was a few unknown niggas that came and copped a dime bag from jaheem , But we ain't get deep into that finding out who they were . Why what happened ? " He said

" They shot up my mans Jay , But ima hit you back in a few " I said hanging up , I got into my car a sped down the highway . I needed a drink and usually don't drink I smoke but this stress is overwhelming , I took out my phone to call my mom and I know when she hear Marissa in the hospital she gon spaz out .

" Hi baby " she said and her voice sounded so soft I knew once I told her this she was gon go crazy .

" Ma .. Marissa is in the hospital " I said and I felt a tear come down my face . God please make sure my sister is ok ! I can't complete my journey without her , Everything I do .. I do it for Karin and my family .

" Why is she in the hospital David ? " I heard her say and her voice did a complete change .

" Someone broke into the house .. it was her ex boyfriend and when she was running away she got hit by a truck , I ain't go see her she's there with Karin " I said taking another pull from my blunt that I had already rolled .

" I'm catching the first flight down there , You be safe baby and go check on her " she said and I just hung up and continued to drive ..
